Delicious! Quick to order and quick to get my food, the part that took the longest was picking which of the several yummy sounding tacos to pick. I ended up with a fried chicken, tin roof, brisket and rajas. Super fresh and delicious, a good price for the size and content of the tacos, and I enjoyed each one, though the fried chicken and tin roof were the standouts for me.

Outstanding tacos! Lots of variety. This isn’t what I would call authentic but the different flavors were interesting and tasty. All of the ingredients seemed very fresh and high quality. It’s a popular place so plan ahead if you’re going during peak times.

Tin Roof Tacos is a must go when I’m in Boise. Their food is inexpensive and amazing. I love their chips and salsa. The tacos are not your traditional street taco so keep an open mind but they are really good. My favorites are the BBQ brisket and steak fajita.

First time (2 weeks ago photo) was 5 Stars! We liked it so much that we drove 25 miles today for more tacos, only to be so disappointed. Shrimp taco had tails on the shrimp and not the same shrimp, looked like deep fried batter dipped. Half the Ingredients were missing and I wish I had took a photo to show today’s tacos. Staff seemed more focused on talking than making the tacos the way they should be made.

My office ordered from here (a favorite amongst my colleagues) and it was so good that I needed to come back for the baja shrimp tacos again. Delicious! The chips and queso was surprisingly addictive. Not just your every day chips and queso. Great atmosphere. Clean. Outdoor has heat lamps. Friendly staff.

Fast casual taco place, ordered to go.
Tacos were great: tried the fried fish, fajita beef & Tin Roof taco. All were good, the fried fish was my favorite (with green salsa).
Also tried a side of the street corn, enjoyed the fresh tomatoes on top & that they served in a bowl vs on the cob.
Service was good, what you would expect of a fast casual place.
Prices were appropriate $2.50 for veggie tacos & $3 for protein varieties. Tacos are on the smaller side, would recommend 3-4 if you’re really hungry.
Would definitely come back!

Top tier. I recommend beef fajita tacos, as well as their peach fruit taco for dessert. Very delicious. The chips and queso are great and the atmosphere is lively. Reasonably priced as well. Three tacos are pretty filling— for $3 each pretty reasonable.

A great spot with great prices! This is a staple for the college students in the area, and one can understand why with the insane value. $33.39 for 9 tacos and 2 drinks before tip and it fed 4 people easily.
Just a little nitpick from me here, but the restaurant looked fairly dirty in the eating areas. Floors needed a good mopping, and there was a lot of debris covering the floor.
Roasted corn taco 4/5
Fish taco (both fried and grilled) 5/5
Fried chicken taco 6/5
(One of the best items we had in Boise)
Brisket taco 4/5 (brisket was dry, but we forgot to put sauce on so that probably makes it much better)
Shrimp taco 5/5

Experience was great, staff were kind and helpful, pretty efficient – but the actual taste and quality of the tacos wasn’t what you would expect for a taco specific place. We tried 7 different kinds of tacos and only really “liked” 1 of them. Corn Tortillas, Kind of soggy. Not a lot of flavor. Wouldn’t seek it out intentionally to eat there again. They do give a large serving size of Guacamole though for only a few dollars 🙂

Great food at really low prices. We love the chips and salsa there. The sopapillas are always delicious. I will say their serving size has decreased a little over the years, but still delicious food and will continue to go back.
