I met a friend here for lunch, it was the first time that either of us had been there. They advertise being a veteran owned business, which is all we needed to hear to go check them out at least once to support.
When you look at the menu you can see that if you want to try two meats and two sides, you can get a third meat for only a dollar more, so that’s what we both did. Between the two of us, we tried the ribs, the brisket, the pulled pork, the sausage, the mac and cheese, the spicy mac and cheese, the baked beans, and the swirly fries. We both agreed that the ribs were the best thing that we tried. The swirly fries and the spicy mac and cheese were both really good. The sausage was fine, hard to mess that up, or make it stand out, really..
I know when you’re making shredded meats some batches are better than others, so maybe we didn’t come on a good day, but the brisket was drier than we prefer, and the pulled pork was drier than it should ever be. I had to drown it in barbecue sauce to eat it.
At the end of the day, I would give it like a 3.6-3.7 out of 5 ober all. I’d get something else on the menu next time, maybe a sandwich or the barbecue burrito, but I would I’m not likely get the brisket or pulled pork again. I would definitely recommend the ribs, spicy mac and cheese and the fries, and would order them again myself.

Not satisfying at all. We have it a try tonight at the Movie Night in the Park at Habitat Dog Park. Food truck
Not sure if there dine in location is better but hard pass.
They are over priced for their portions and definitely will tax you on top of it.
We got a plate of the pulled pork (8oz) supposedly, it was barely sauced and the portions of sides were nothing like 4bites for any person. My husband sent my oldest son over to go get two additional sides they must only sell one size side cup a extra small for Mac n cheese that was super peppery and yes seemed like it came out of a box or frozen idk $4
same with beans $4 extra small cup and then charged 10$ even not how the correct math works. They ran out of foods early and we have had diarrhea since we got home. Not sure that the host did there review check on this food place. But definitely need to go back to the learning board and help improve there quality of food and quantity and prices.

Great service. My husband mentioned they worked very well around my food sensitivities and were very welcoming . The chicken was moist and juicy. Also the brisket was pretty good too and not dry at all. Mac and cheese was a simple but great flavor. Lastly the ribs were so flavorful , smoky and juicy. Definitely worth stopping by.

In respose to the Owner: Understand tax included but honestly I like that broken out so I can deduct it on my income tax. Don’t know how much tax was nor did I get a receipt. Also for $18 even with tax, the sides are much too small. Consider larger side portions. I’m not the first to call this out in the reviews.

Original review: Had the grilled cheese bbq sandwich. Unique and excellent! Two tiny sides– baked beans were good. Spicy mac & cheese was boring, lacked a good cheesy flavor. Southbay BBQ does it better. Overall seems a bit pricey for what you get. Single 2-side meal was $18. Just get the sandwich.

I usually really enjoy my food from Tin Hut but the past few times I’ve had a few issues with them. They have been out of cornbread and other sides when we order at lunch. It’s very disappointing but understandable. Today, my husband and I ordered similar plates. We both got a sausage and we received two very different things. My sausage was burnt, dry, and chewy while his was cooked perfectly. There should be a standard that is put on the plate and that was not shown today. The rest of our food was fantastic.

Welp what can I say if you want your stomach to feel like it just got tied into a pretzel and got punched then go here. The food was not good at all I got the grilled cheese pulled pork sandwich with macaroni and beans. The sandwich was more like soup with how much grease and oil that came out of it, the macaroni and mystery cheese was brownish and had no flavor and tasted old, and the beans were alright but tasted like it just came from a can. My friend got the seasoned corn and it look like they seasoned it with ground dirt. I would not recommend this place to any ever.

The location was great and the service was very good. Food was not bad. It’s a little bland but not terribly bland. Middle of the road. It was like it was smoked or made elsewhere and brought to the restaurant to serve. I did like sides, though. The Mac and cheese was simple but smokey. Look good bbq in Seattle is hard to find so this place tries hard and does its job but it’s not top of the line. I will definitely go back though

This is a very good location for a BBQ spot. It is more for carryout than sit down dining, and has an easy to navigate menu. Unfortunately for me my sandwich was very dry and needed a lot of sauce. It was ok, the Mac and cheese was ok. I can’t say I’ll be back to try the other menu items……it wasn’t necessarily bad- it just didn’t give me a reason to go back. The staff was very friendly and personable.

I stopped in at one of their trucks and I couldn’t be more disappointed. My brisket was extremely dry to the point it’s not edible, Mac and cheese was lack luster looks and tastes like frozen Mac and cheese. The only thing that was good was pineapple coleslaw and even then not sure if that’s pre bought. You’d figure paying good money your plate and service would be decent. Disappointing 🙁
