More than the quality of the food, this is such a thoughtful restaurant. Great care is taken in the ordering.
Our experience at Timothy’s was outstanding! Our server, Kingsley, was fun and attentive! I really enjoyed the fresh Alaskan Halibut special!
Served with truffled potatoes and tomato vinaigrette. The addition of the tempura battered oyster mushroom was a rock star bite!
My wife enjoyed one of the other specials. The bacon, onion crusted Walleye with fresh berries and lemon basil butter was a hit! A super fun evening!
Hats off to Owner/Chef Timothy and his team!
We started our meal by first ordering the calamari with a curry & roast shallot mayo and also the featured smoked pecan old fashioned cocktails. The calamari was even better than I remembered. The apple crisp à la mode that we shared was the perfect finish.
We did end up taking half our entrees home and I am looking forward to enjoying part 2 tonight!
Sea bass is one of my favorite fish. It was very good except that it was covered with raw bean sprouts and had a very sweet sauce. For my taste, sugar should not be used on a naturally delicious piece of fish.
I would definitely be coming back to try other menu items and daily specials.
Positives: The place is very cute and cozy. Lots of close by parking. The kids meal options and portions are great. My 7 year old appreciated getting to order a kids steak versus the usual few items restaurants tend to offer. The meal included fries, broccoli and ice cream which was a pretty good deal.
What needs improvement: They weren’t very busy at all, but it took over 10 minutes for anyone to come greet us or take our drink orders. Our waitress was a nice lady, but the service in general was just very slow. That would be totally fine if on an intimate date where you wanted to sit and sip drinks and get to know each other, but with 2 kids, an hour and 45 minute dining experience is too long.
I indicated in our reservation we were celebrating a birthday but there was no acknowledgement whatsoever. Not sure why they ask in the reservation if nothing special is done ♀️. We were also charged a random “restaurant fee” on our bill. Not sure what that is about either.
The biggest letdown of everything was our steaks were all overcooked. If I am paying $64 for a steak, I expect perfection and they definitely missed the mark here. The waitress agreed that it was not cooked how I ordered and offered to have it remade, however, as I mentioned, the service was very slow and I was not willing to wait with my antsy kids for another 30 minutes to recieve a new meal.
Overall a mediocre experience which is such a bummer because I was really excited to try it out.
When I arrived, there were 5 other parties standing in line, in front of the hostess stand. Not trying to be rud, I patiently waited with the others for 10 minutes. Conversing with the other guests, we all had reservations for 7. The hostess did not attempt to great any of us. Expected us to wait in line until she had the time to provide us a table. We were seated finally around 7:30pm.
Known for Lobster, we went with the anticipation of having Lobster. Something most restaurants who serve lobster would have featured on Valentines weekend. Nope… We aren’t offering lobster this weekend.
So very disappointed, my wife orders the hawiian style chicken sandwich… She get’s her sandwich and no pineapple on the sandwich… When asked about the hawiian chicken sandwich not having pineapple, we are told they are out of pineapple. No mention of it when ordering it, or having the waitress return to ask if we wanted something different. Just deal with it.
Not impressed. This isn’t Culvers, or a diner, it’s is billed as fine dining. Wasn’t fine last night.
