The staff is friendly, the food is tasty the atmosphere is low key and laid back, and the music is perfect. The blue walls make for a calming, open and airy feel. You feel welcomed and right at home from the moment you walk in the restaurant. Our waiter was friendly and personable. Her honesty was truly appreciated, when asked about which different menus items we should try. Although the menu is very limited in options and variety we were all able to find something to our liking with ease. The background music is a perfect blend between old school and new school music. Throughout conversations you will find yourself singing along with the next greatest hit. The Chicken and Waffles are a huge hit and it seemed as if every table had a serving. You will get 8 pieces of chicken and a waffle so unless you are starving it is definitely a shareable dish. The brunch berry sangria was perfect for a nice Spring day, very refreshing with all of the fruity flavors. I look forward to returning soon to try the dinner menu or to check out one of the upcoming events.

Was in between appointments and stopped in for a quick bite. Though clearly ‘underdressed’ everyone was friendly. Loved the cocktail (wish I wasn’t driving or I would of had 2). Thought I would try a few things and was happy I did. The catfish and grits was delicious as were the wings. The owner/Top Chef Timothy Dean was hands on helping and socializing with the crowd. Got a nice smile as he walked by. Glad Bowie has a restaurant of this stature.

Melissa found this place and it was fantastic! I got the aged ribeye and she got the steak frites. Both cooked perfectly! Mine came with thinly sliced potatoes kind of like scalloped potatoes and hers, of course, came with fries. I liked the potatoes on both! Definitely recommend and we will come back. And the service was great too! Just the right amount of checking in and really fast.

I’ve come to this restaurant at least 3 times over the quarantine. Once a week I’ve treated myself to Michelin-starred takeout or visited other small, high-end restaurants to get the perfect meal at home. Even though I frequently travel to DC and Annapolis, I’m fortunate enough to live pretty close to Timothy Dean, whose food does not usually disappoint, but today I was just really appalled by the food quality and the attitude of Timothy Dean himself. I attempted to order lobster mac about a month ago, but the person on the phone politely informed me that they were out of lobster. I ordered a steak instead. Tonight I ordered a different meal and decided to see if the lobster was back, so I pointedly asked “Is there lobster today for the mac and cheese” and the person on the phone responded “yes.” It was under $20 so I figured the takeout portion was smaller than normal (other restaurants have done the same), but when I got home I was appalled to see this fake “krab” looking stuff in my food. Not a bit of lobster anywhere. I thought surely this was a mistake, but when I called the restaurant to complain, they put Timothy on the phone. He was shockingly unapologetic for the fake lobster, and repeatedly told me that real lobster is more expensive (as if I didn’t know that), they’ve been out of lobster for months, and when I asked him to update meal description, he told me “the price should tell you that it’s not real lobster.” No refund offered (I didn’t ask for one), and no apology whatsoever. In the last few weeks, I’ve dealt with only one other business that sent me home with food that was subpar, even for their standards, and they immediately offered a credit for my next order at their restaurant. Why is it so hard to find great service in PG County?

This review is based on my order to go experience. I ordered the Obama burger. The location is clean and nicely decorated. I was greeted immediately. They were warm and friendly. My order was quick and delicious. Love the watercress! Nice touch. I do wish the fries where double fried like in France, but they were good also. Would definitely go back. The menu has a lot to offer and can’t wait to try more.

This restaurant is a hidden gem. A friend recommended it after I complained about not being able to find good food with good service in the county. The food was EXCELLENT! Mr. Dean himself is in the kitchen. I had the lobster hash hesitantly because I’m not really a lobster fan and it was awesome. My husband had the french toast and didn’t even leave me a taste :). The best part was the service. Our waiter was top quality and we were a table of 9. I made a reservation for the entire family for Easter and am truly looking forward to it.

I must say I love this place! My husband took me here as a surprise for date night and I loved everything about it. The hostess was courteous and greeted us immediately, our bartender was a sweetheart, my catfish sandwich was the bomb, and his wings were good too! And my ceasar salad was delicious! We will definitely be back sooner than later!

The atmosphere here is wonderful very classy and tasteful. The food is amazing and taste like it’s made by someone who takes pride in the craft of cooking a meal for someone else. You can show up dressed casual but it’s so nice you will feel underdressed. Definitely a hidden jewel and a favorite place to get away. Bartenders are welcoming and lovely, drinks have never missed a beat.

I didn’t know what to expect on my first visit, I was pleasantly surprised by the great use of space between the bar, community tables and regular seating tables. The color scheme works beautifully, it allows the natural wood tables to pop. The moment I step foot into the restaurant I received a very high level of customer service. The bartender welcomed me, introduced himself and asked me for my name… that’s remarkable…. I appreciate a well stocked bar with reasonable top shelf libations. I ordered Jalapeno Cheese Grits w/ Fried Catfish, that’s right catfish. Exceptional dish, ton of flavor, grits were creamy and cheesey.

Food is excellent, fresh, and prepared to order. It’s exciting to find a fine dining experience in the area. We all mention that we want better options- yet don’t come out to support local businesses. The quality and presentation is noteworthy and nothing short of what you would find in downtown DC. I’m really surprised by the negative reviews and can only think it’s from disgruntled former employees. I find it admirable that he employs a younger staff – they’re still learning, but it didn’t take away from my experience. I also went during the grand opening. I’m tough to please when it comes to good food and service. Timothy Dean is a winner, and I will definitely return.
