We made reservations for dinner and the comedy show for Valentine’s Day. This was a published event. We were seated within 10 mins of our reservation time, however, it took 20 mins for our waitress to come, and another 30 mins to get two iced teas. While we waited for appetizers, we observed the manager franticly running around, our waitress looking like she wanted to give up (between her obvious struggles understanding their ordering system, making her way through crowded tables and continuing to fall behind, and constant grumbling), and other staff obviously trying to keep afloat. 70 mins after we were seated, we finally asked the new host if we could find out where our ticket was in the kitchen. She was apologetic and went to tell the manager, who seemed to carry on trying to seat people for the comedy show that was now 1 hr after start time, yet still hadn’t started. A few minutes later, after no other communication, we decided to leave. We were excited to try Timbers for the first time and we’re looking forward to the meal all week. We gave ample time to at least get our apps (shrimp cocktail and a bisque) which should have been quick to prep. We also recognize it was a major dining evening and they clearly had new staff, or maybe just people helping for the day, I don’t know. I’d like to rate 1 star for the entire experience, but given we left 90 mins after our reservation without having tried any food, I think its only fair to rate 3 stars. It seems the restaurant, or this manager, bit off more than he could chew for the evening. We MAY go back another time to try the food, but it certainly won’t be on a holiday or other big event. Photo was our table 80 minutes after being seated.

We were in town for a late season salmon and golf trip. Ate all local from start to finish. This was the dining highlight. I had the porterhouse. It was seasoned and cooked perfectly. My son had the whitefish and was equally impressed. The pesto risotto was a pleasant surprise. 10/10. Will make certain to stop back when we return next year.

Great experience minus the hostess. Didn’t realize we needed a reservation. She was kinda rude about it and snubbed us to the side for people who had reservations. Asked of we could sit at the bar she said yes. The bartender and staff were great. Food was on point.

Make sure you have a reservation. Wasnt impressed with the hostess because we had no idea you should make a reservation. She was not very welcoming. More expensive than what I thought it would be but the food was well worth it. We sat at the bar, the bar staff was amazing and very welcoming.

I cam here from Manistee and really loved this place. They had just opened their lunch menu 4 days ago and my wife and in-laws were eating here. Our guy Brad was phenomenal at helping us navigate choices, giving us history of the place and the new construction happening. The owner went above and beyond by offering to cook a dinner item in lieu of the options on the lunch menu. It was one of the tastiest New York strips you could ask for. My two cents for recommendations are that they increase the portions a little with possible extra veggies or rice, but overall my family and I enjoyed the food greatly, the experience was phenomenal and we will certainly be back again!!

I waitress, Nancy, was absolutely amazing! The service she provided made the whole experience so much better! The appetizer we picked was spinach, artichoke dip with pita chips…..best dip ever! Robust flavor, super creamy, and the spinach was fresh! My husband chose the apple pork chops with artisan mashed potatoes…… no disappointment there! The pork chop was juicy and cooked perfectly! The mashed potatoes…. I want the recipe!!!!!! I had a sirloin that was cooked exactly right, and the seasoning was perfect as well. Now, when it comes to lobster tails, I am super picky! Most places bring you a rubbery sacrifice….. From the first bite, all I could do was close my eyes and be thankful I took the chance to order them! It was tender and juicy, and the flavor was phenomenal! Well done, and thank you for a great experience!

Valentine’s Day for a group of eight was a disaster.
Food took over 2 hours. Mine was late and undercooked, so probably forgotten. But at least it was hot, everyone elses food at our table was cold.
The comedy show started an hour late, tickets were oversold, and we ended up at a crammed, last-minute table with bad views. Free $12 tickets were offered as “compensation,” which hardly makes up for a wasted evening. Would not recommend.

Reading some of the reviews I was uncertain. If I should try this place or not. Most of the reviews are pretty accurate. I made a reservation based off some of the reviews saying that it would be required to get a table. When I arrived there were only two other tables sat in the entire restaurant so I’m unsure why I needed a reservation. After we got sat, waitress quickly took our drink order but that was the only thing that was quick about the service. With it being that slow I would assume the waitress would constantly be checking on us or around but that wasn’t the case. The food itself was pretty mediocre at best which was kind of disappointing. I ordered a steak assuming being a steakhouse it was going to be good but it was just a letdown. They were also out of a lot of things on their menu. If you are considering going here, don’t set your expectation is very high and enjoy it if you can.

Wow! My wife and I ate here for the first time on our honeymoon and it’s our new favorite place in Ludington. We got there right at 5, got seated, and ordered garlic knots and salad. We didn’t know there was complimentary bread, so we got even more than we needed and took the garlic knots back to our bed and breakfast for a nighttime snack. For our entrees, we ordered steak and lobster tails. Everything was hot, fresh, and cooked to perfection. My wife said the steak is the best she’s ever had, and she’s picky! There was someone coming to top off our water every time it got low and servers were helping each other clear off our plates as we finished. We recommend this restaurant to anyone wondering if they should try it!

Came for an early Dinner, food and drinks and service was top notch. Our server Kaylin was incredible, very knowledgeable and friendly. We had their Bloody Mary & Spicy Boi Margarita both were phenomenal. The Mussels were very fresh and well prepared. All four of us had the pot roast special, order and see for yourself just how delicious it is!! After having such an awesome experience and meal we had to try their desserts. Cheesecake and Carrot cake were some of the best around! We will absolutely be back next time we are in town.
