Every dish looks like it could be published in a HIGH-END FOOD MAGAZINE VISUALLY STUNNING AND EXTRAVAGANT
I been around Omaha and Lincoln they served better appetizers here in Timbers. I don’t see the problem with pricing ,I dine in with 5 stars restaurants with extremely high prices. If I were to compare I’d say I get more serving here.
The flavors in this dish are beautifully balanced. The seasoning is executed perfectly, your choice of ingredients showcases your deep knowledge of food. I visited around apple jack festival and I WILL DEFINITELY COME BACK

An awesome NYE! We have been coming here for years. The lamb ribs were delicious, the scallops are a must try. We loved the prime rib special! Our waitress was great about letting us know all the gluten free options available! We will be back

Wife and I had breakfast, the service was great, very attentive and welcoming. We ordered the parfait and the cinnamon roll. The portions were large and had great presentation. The parfait was a little expensive, but good. however the cinnamon roll was dry and cold. We were very disappointed in the cinnamon roll. Afterwards we read reviews and saw another complaint about the cinnamon roll being dry and cold. I just don’t understand how they think it’s ok to serve it like that. It’s a beautiful place and has so much potential, but the food did not arrive with the quality expected. I cannot recommend at this time.

TLDR: This place is not worth the money. It’s pretty and that’s about it. You will leave hungry after a $200 meal for two.
We just ate there tonight for our date night and we both were extremely disappointed. While the service was alright, (the waitress was bubbly but was not very attentive) the place was covered in visible dust, the carpets are coming up at the seams, and chairs and tables are horribly scuffed and dinged, which may sound like nit picking but when you’re charging these prices your facility should probably look like it’s worth the cost. As for the food….we both got steak which came with a smear of “mashed” potato and a couple of squash cubes on top ($50/person) and the steak was doing all the heavy lifting for every category on this place. Steak was great, the potatoes were liquid and the squash was slimy. We also got bread service ($10/person) and Parmesan garlic fies (BF subbed his squash for them so no charge). The bread was literally Walmart pull apart buns, hard crusty microwaved corners and all, with some grated Parmesan on top, and the fries were almost too hard to eat and what we did get down was flavorless. We left still hungry and had to hit fast food on the way back out of town. And despite all of this, we still left a $55 dollar tip! Save yourself the disappointment and just go to Little Teds, they NEVER drop the ball on their food.

We went there today for their Thanksgiving buffet. $55 for adults, $20 per child. The staff were very nice. We appreciate them working on a holiday. The reason for the 2 stars is because the food was very ‘okay’. There was an autumn vegetable soup that was very tasty-but it was barely warm. The roast beef was also tasty-but was cold. The pumpkin pie was cold. The stuffing-cold. The dinner rolls appeared to be just store bought. None of it was terrible, but it was very mediocre. If you’re going to offer a buffet at least find a way to keep the food warm. It certainly wasn’t worth at trip from Omaha and that much money. We won’t go again and won’t recommend it to anyone.

My family and I love coming to Lied Lodge. We used to love eating at the restaurant but since the menu changed, we have agreed that we do not want to eat dinner there again. The atmosphere is lovely and the service is really good, but the food and menu options are horrible. The kid’s menu is not prepared in a way to be kid friendly at all. The menu is not very vegetarian or dairy-free friendly. We were really disappointed with the dinner. They used to have pretzel bread-sticks, which were amazing, but are no longer offered. Breakfast was not as bad, but the biscuit they served was very dry and tasted old. It was hard, cold, dry, and salty and served with no butter. My husband said it seemed like a food you would have in a backpack for a month long journey to middle-earth. The server was kind and took it off of our bill. I wish we could it enjoy it but the food is just terrible now.

Sorry to say that we had a disappointing experience here. Our large family stayed at Lied Lodge to celebrate a milestone birthday capped off with brunch on Sunday morning. First of all, our server, Janelle, was lovely and the location is beautiful as always. Unfortunately that’s the best part. Prices were far too high for the food we were served. Our bill for 12 people was significantly higher than our dinner for 16 people the night before at a different establishment. Those that ordered coffee were given lukewarm coffee and ended up going to the lobby to fill their cups with hot coffee. The only people happy with their food were those that ordered the eggs Benedict or the kid’s French toast. Everyone else was between a 1 and 3 star rating on their food. Eggs were over cooked when ordered easy or medium, food came to our table over the course of over 10 minutes, and many people didn’t even finish their meals. Of particular note was the corned beef hashbrown. They were terrible! They really were just cabbage and potato hashbrown patties with barely a taste of corned beef. Their saving grace was the delicious hollandaise sauce, but it really was not a good meal, especially for $17 plus $6 to add two eggs. We love the Lied Lodge, and enjoyed our stay, but it seems like there may be some work to be done with the menu and kitchen. It is expected to prices at an onsite specialty restaurant to be higher, but the quality did not match.

Absolutely amazing restaurant! The food and service are without a doubt the best I’ve experienced. Special thanks to Rebecca, who always makes us feel so welcome. She goes out of her way to make our non alcoholic drinks special and crafty. I have eaten here with my husband quite a few times now. We can both say, we have never been disappointed with a dish. The dish’s are appealing not only to the palate but, the eyes as well. They are beautiful crafted. Almost too pretty to eat, we enjoy every morsel. The waitresses are also very attentive and keep the dinning area very clean, neat and tidy. All around amazing experience. Come dine with them and you won’t be disappointed.

Note to Timbers team: your front of house folks are so wonderful. We never felt uncomfortable or unwelcome with our littles! Just wish the menu had a few more “traditional” items after a day of hiking and playing!!
We were unaware the menus had been completely overhauled — did not even think to look it up after visiting just last fall (and many falls before that).
It felt less like a dinner menu you could easily choose from (and afford) as a lodge guest with small children, and more like an extremely high-end dining menu for perhaps one night. And, similar to other reviews, the flavors were lacking. The meals looked beautifully plated, but they were so bland and overcooked (lasagna, chicken, kids grilled cheese and tomato soup).
Breakfast was, for the most part, amazing! Loved that experience so much!!! Kids loved the windows overlooking trees, the kind servers, the comfy chairs… and it’s such a peaceful atmosphere as opposed to so many overstimulating places.
If you’re staying at the lodge, be sure to look at the Timbers menu ahead of time and plan your dining accordingly. Would strongly recommend heading into town if you have picky eaters with you. (And budget accordingly!).
