I appreciate the fish and chips and the cheese curds. I had to ask another staff member to help me out with a favor; the first wasn’t accommodating with my request but the second was willing to help. They didn’t seem happy to be there.
Overall, I’d probably visit again if I were nearby but it’d be for the food, not the service.

After 15+ years of enjoying the fun and great food at Timber Lodge Steakhouse this visit will be my last. Forever. The service was good. The food was tasty. But they have completely ruined this restaurant. I have always enjoyed ordering my favorite Northwoods icons from the menu – now it is bland and dull. No more mosquito bites. No more potato skin canoes. No more wild rice soup included with your dinner. I hope somebody enjoys the new and “improved” overpriced lunch counter that this place has become, because I won’t be back.

If I could give a zero I would. This place has gone so down hill. Total Ghetto. Only 6 tables with guests and took almost a half hour to get our food. Had to ask twice for bread. Steak had no flavor and very very overpriced. There Wild Rice Soup tasted like flour. Would never ever ever go back. Save a few more dollars and go to a real steak place: Ruth Cris or Manny’s.

Impeccable service! Seating was prompt, initial engagement with server was excellent! Delicious bread served prior to meal. I ordered Fillet 7 oz medium rare and it was tough on the inside but delicious on the more well cooked sides. Meal ended with excellent service!

Been here twice in the past month or so. The food is always great and I feel like a very reasonable price, the service has been absolutely wonderful, and again… The food! I’ve gotten the prime rib both times that I’ve been here and same with my boyfriend. It’s absolutely delicious! Also tried their cheese curds last time we were in and those were also very good. I would highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a nice, casual place to take a date or have a night out with the family! We will be going back for sure!

I dine here several times per year with a seniors group. We usually have a group lunch for 10-20 people and reserve a private dining room for the group. We always receive good service and enjoy our meals here. The full service bar can provide any type of drink you may desire. The lunch menu offers soups, salads, soup and sandwich combos, and larger steak and prime rib options. I have always been satisfied with the food quality and pricing. Lunches during the week are usually quiet and you should not have to wait to be seated. Dinner dining is more popular and you may have to wait for a table. Reservations are accepted.

I don’t normally write reviews but I feel I need to this time. The prime rib was $7 more than the normal location we go to, and there was no salad included. When the Prime Rib came, it was barely warm and the first bite tasted like rotten meat. The middle was a little better, but not much. I will definitely not return to this location.

We sadly go here once a year for a birthday for Grandma. It’s close and it has a banquet room to accommodate our group. But honestly I can’t understand how this restaurant is still open!? Food is less than desirable and it does not matter what you order, it’s all pretty bad! I’m a big fan of garlic butter, but theirs is pretty gross. The worst part of my meal was the cream of wild rice soup. This soup is suppose to be creamy and hot. It was neither. 3 people could not withstand the thick oatmeal like substance. And my last complaint is the prices. Like $40 for a poorly cooked, less than quality cut steak?!!! I’m sorry but other steak houses like Texas Roadhouse have delicious food for half the price. Hours of operation, food, and prices cant even get a half a star in my opinion. The only thing that was decent in our visit yesterday was the service.

Went for a girlfriend’s bday. The place was empty and service was slow. My friend requested a steak to be medium. First time it came out well done. Sent it back and it came out rare. Resent it back to cook the same rate steak and all they did was charcoal the bottom. The food was not great. Will not be returning.

We visited with my partner’s parents a while back. They had a gift card that was probably 15 years old but the staff was awesome about it and they honored the card. On top of that the service was quick and the food was great! The chef even put together a vegan option for me that wasn’t on the menu.
