My husband and I dined at Tillie’s recently and once again were extremely pleased with the food, service, cleanliness of the restaurant and friendliness of the staff. The owner is a ray of sunshine every time we dine there. She goes above and beyond to make sure everything is done right! The vegetables are cooked to perfection and the homemade cornbread tastes just like momma made. YUMMY!

They have the best seasoned southern meal ever!!!!! I went in , not knowing what I wanted. The recommendations was pork chops with the sides. I didn’t wait long and the meat melted in my mouth. There wasn’t any gravy and none was needed. The prices are excellent!!! You get more for the money. I just moved in Hueytown and my navigation took me there when I put southern meals in google.

Choke and Puke comes to mind. I am all for supporting local small business, but I also believe in the truth. When my husband and I tried this place, we were served COLD food, horrible potatoes and bland canned peas. And the cornbread is something like jiffy mix, very dry. Had to remind the counter staff that we had ordered , she was snippy that she was intruded… the food is not worth the high price. And then let’s talk about being environmentally friendly!! Plastic plates, utensils and cups?? Shameful!

Tillie’s has become a frequent go-to for fantastic food and service. I’m working my way through the entire menu with only one complaint … my clothes are shrinking.
From soul food to burgers, sandwiches, salads and more … they’re doing it right! The oxtails and smothered pork chops are particularly my personal favorites.
Not to mention that the prices are more than appropriate for the value you get in quantity and quality. The cherry on top is that the staff is friendly and accommodating. #TilliesRock

How can you own and run a ” restaurant” and not care anything about anyone that may or may not visit your establishment. There are many restaurant’s located in this area that will respect their customers , especially if they are in need of emergency medical treatment.
