We liked the masala chai tea very much. I’m including a bunch of photos of our meal including garlic naan, lamb Tikka masala, mango chicken curry, chicken chow mein and a shrimp dish I don’t recall the name of.
Menu options were clear. My group ordered 4 entrees and got some rice and naan breads. We shared family style, we all were in agreement how fresh each dish was. Very light and great flavors in each dish.
Highly enjoyed all the food. Will definitly be come back .
Soccer lever 4 was perfect for afo of us.
This guy wears a great big smile that doesn’t even pretend to reach his eyes. All of the advertisements I’ve found say this place is open until nine pm. yet when I went in there at 8:30 pm, although there were a few guys at one table, he told me the kitchen was closed, that if he cooked anything else, it wouldn’t even be ready till almost nine.
Okay, maybe they have different customs in India, but I have been to many Indian restaurants and that has never happened before. Okay, I figured, if I want to try this full inter testing menu, I’ll have to come back earlier.
I came back the following weekend with a friend, going on about how good it had smelled and that they had many things on the menu that I’d never had. It was a little after 8:00 pm, the doors were wide open, and the “Open” sign was lit up. We went in, I grabbed some menus, and headed to some seats. He jumped off his stool and came after us saying he didn’t have any more sit-down service. I said “What?” and pointed out the open sign. He said a variation of what he said the last time I was there.
But it was now almost an hour before closing time. That was ridiculous. As we left hungry and disappointed, I idly commented that he lost a customer without ever even serving them. He just sat back down with no comment or even a change in the stiff fake smile.
I foolishly decided to give them one more try since I was in the neighborhood. You know the definition of insanity right…
This time, it was closer to 7:40 pm, yet he once more declined to serve me. I have no rational explanation for why someone would advertise a closing time and not honor it. But I have truly learned my lesson.
Today when I still wanted Indian food, I looked up who had a Sunday buffet open. It was a holiday weekend so some places may have been doing something differently than normal. And can you guess who came up having a buffet this Sunday? This very restaurant!
I went to Curry Craft out in San Marcos.
We ordered the mutter methi malai, garlic nana bread and lamb curry, everything had wonderful flavors. We will definitely go back. Loved this spot. Next time I would order to dine in
