Indian eatery serving curries, rice dishes & tandoori specialties in a warm, low-key atmosphere.

My son and I were in the area so we decided to stop in for lunch. The atmosphere is very quiet and laid back, I very much enjoyed there not being a lot of noise.
The service from start to finish was phenomenal and the food just as much so. The portions are large and I loved the garlic Naan bread also. We will absolutely make plans to come back and bring the rest of the family!

Stopped in for lunch before a test at Baptist and was slightly disappointed that they do not have a lunch buffet as mentioned here. However, the chicken Tikka Masala was amazing as well as the “chips” and onion and tamarind chutneys. Food was very flavorful and piping hot, and service was attentive. Definitely satisfied my craving for Indian food.

The food here is excellent, some of the best Indian I have ever had. They also have some excellent fried chips that they bring you as a complimentary appetizer that are addicting. It is very hard to find staff and they do not check on the tables very well however, which is disappointing for the price.

My husband surprised me wih an early Valentine’s Day dinner here. I ordered takeout from here a long while back and couldn’t stop raving about it. The food and the experience were even better in person. Joseph was our waiter, and he was so kind and attentive. We left with full dancing bellies and a good bit of leftovers. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for good Indian food in Louisville, and can’t wait to come back again. All of the staff was kind enough to allow us to wait inside while they closed up, because our ride was delayed. They went above and beyond.

I’ve eaten here before many times and it’s always been great, but this visit was absolutely perfect. My girlfriend and I ordered the chicken tikka masala and butter naan, and everything was spot on. The chicken was tender and full of flavor, the sauce was rich and perfectly balanced, and the naan was warm, soft, and exactly how it should be.
You can tell when a restaurant is consistent, but this time they went above and beyond. From the food to the overall experience, nothing missed. Easily one of the best meals we’ve had here, and we’ll definitely be back.

Another hidden gem in Louisville. Friendly service from the minute you walk in the door. Attentive and fast. A small, very quiet atmosphere, extensive menu, loads of choices. All priced very well. For lunch or dinner this is worth the time.

Service & atmosphere were really good ✨ but honestly, the food was too expensive and not worth it . Taste didn’t match the price — not the right place if you’re looking for authentic Indian food.

The Naan was really top notch. Especially enjoyed the Peshwari Naan. Our curry and biryani were all good. I appreciated we didn’t have to order rice separately as you do in many other restaurants. The portions were a really good size too with leftovers. Overall very satisfied and will most likely be returning

Our dining experience at Tikka House Indian Restaurant was a delightful journey through authentic Indian flavors.
As a group of four, we were immediately captivated by the inviting ambiance and the tantalizing aromas that greeted us.The Butter Chicken Masala was a revelation, with its creamy, rich sauce perfectly enveloping the succulent chicken pieces. The Korma Lamb was equally impressive, offering a harmonious blend of spices that enhanced the tender lamb. The Chicken Biryani was a true star, its aromatic spices and perfectly cooked rice creating an unforgettable taste sensation.
Accompanying our meal was the freshly baked Nan bread, soft and ideal for soaking up the delicious sauces. Not to be overlooked, the Chicken 65 added an exciting burst of flavor with its crispy texture and spicy taste, showcasing the culinary excellence of Indian cuisine. The generous portions were well-suited for our group, allowing us all to share and enjoy the variety of dishes.
I highly recommend Tikka House to anyone seeking an authentic and enjoyable Indian dining experience. The combination of exquisite food, a welcoming atmosphere, and attentive service makes it a must-visit for lovers of Indian cuisine.

This place has wonderful egg paratha, and I find the food quite tasty. But inflation and high prices are just simply too much. This is genuinely one of the most expensive Indian places in Louisville, and while it’s good I looked at the price of ordering the same items I ordered last time and almost every item cost $1 more. It was already expensive, I sadly am done with this place due to their prices.
It was coming to nearly $80 for 3 to eat here. Simply not worth it. Most other Indian restaurants if I order similarly the cost is around $60-65.
