I felt the vegetarian options were limited and not the best ( i tried all the veg options available). However, i loved the shrimp tacos!
Service was pretty quick

My friend got the chicken & pork & said the chicken one was good.

Let me be absolutely clear: Tikitaco in Madrid isn’t just a great taco spot; it is home to the best taco I have ever tasted in my entire life. I have eaten tacos across continents, and nothing has ever compared to the flavor, authenticity, and sheer joy of the tacos served here.

The restaurant itself has a buzzing, authentic taquería vibe—it’s fast-paced, often crowded, and filled with the mouth-watering aromas of Mexico. The concept of serving tacos at such an incredible price (many are just €1 or slightly more) is astonishing given the supreme quality.

Every taco here is a masterpiece, but what truly sets Tikitaco apart is the incredible balance of ingredients. The tortillas are perfect (GLUTEN FREE), the meats are deeply flavorful and cooked to perfection, and the fresh toppings—cilantro, onion, and a squeeze of lime—make them sing. They offer a fantastic selection, including classics like Al Pastor (my FAVORITE) and Cochinita Pibil, which are absolutely mandatory to try.

If you are a taco enthusiast, or just looking for an incredible, affordable, and vibrant dining experience in Madrid, you must go to Tikitaco. It’s a culinary highlight of the city and a place that redefined what a perfect taco should taste like for me. Stop reading and go try them immediately—you might just find your own “best taco ever” here, too!

Defo 10/10!! ❤️

Tiki Taco in Madrid is a fantastic spot for affordable, authentic Mexican street food. Tucked away in neighborhoods like Malasaña or La Latina, it offers a casual vibe with fresh, flavorful tacos starting at just 1-2 euros each. Standouts include the juicy al pastor with pineapple and cilantro, tender cochinita pibil, and veggie options like mushroom or nopal. Sides like guacamole and elote add extra flair, while drinks such as hibiscus agua fresca or margaritas keep things refreshing. Service is quick and friendly, making it ideal for a quick lunch or casual dinner. A true hidden gem for Mexican cravings in Spain!

Best tacos i have ever ate! Tacos are gluten free and they cost only 1€ per taco. I also recommend frozen margarita which is also very good. I am definitely coming back!

The best taco I had in Europe. Super tasty meat, very typical and fast service. I recommend coming here before the opening or you might wait a bit. Definitely worth it tho !

Perfection. I had the carne Asada tacos. A simple corn tortilla with steak, cilantro, and onions, and this great salsa… Something so simple but amazing . The line can get rather long … I mean out the door down the block long . Worth the wait . Plus, you get to enjoy some nice conversation meeting new people while you wait in line. Perfect anytime of the day highly recommend

We ordered a couple of different tacos, and while the food was tasty, I was quite surprised by the mini sizes. I came in hungry and, unfortunately, left still feeling hungry.

Particularly, I wanted to mention the taco pulpo enamorado for 3.90 Euros – it was a mini size taco with just four tiny slices of octopus, which didn’t quite meet my expectations.

We went there around 7pm on a Saturday and there was a little line however a couple minutes later a long line had formed behind us. It took a while to get to the register and place our order but that was alright. After ordering you seat down and wait for your food to arrive, it only took a couple of minutes. The tacos were small but oily and this filling. Definitely a great place to try out.

My husband and I learned about this restaurant from talking with a stranger, an American study abroad student, at a restaurant in Segovia. We had complained about substandard Mexican food in Madrid–because we’re from Texas–and he recommended this taco bar owned by his Mexican friend. €1 tacos was too good a deal to pass up!

The bar is on a busy street in Madrid and had a good mix of local and international student diners. You place your order at the front register, grab a table, and they call your name to find you with your tacos. We visited for early dinner on a Thursday in late March.

These are excellent street tacos. We originally ordered 2 each but then went back to the register two more times and ended up with 10 tacos between us. A mix of pastor, barbacoa, and chicken. No food photos because we at them so quickly! Our total was US $22.69
