Tiki Taco – is part taco shop, part hangout, part bar, part neighborhood joint. We serve fresh, made from scratch, cooked to order food as the neighborhood taco shop. Tiki Taco is a fusion of traditional flavors of Mexico with So-Cal influences and hints of fusion tastes. We’re serious about our food, but don’t take ourselves too seriously. Each community plays a role in Tiki Taco’s success, and we are grateful for the opportunity to serve our neighborhoods every day. Tiki Taco is where positivity does not go out of style, it’s always a good day to have a good day”.

Only criticism I have is the blended margarita was not the best- very bland even with added flavor. But the mean bean burrito was dreamy.
We tried their avocado tempura tacos, which were interesting although maybe could have used a little salsa or something but they were still tasty with the fresh lime. The SO loved them. It seemed like most of the taste was the oil and fried double corn tortillas more than the avocado.
The mushroom taco, tasted pretty good, but had maybe two thin slices of mushroom – there was almost no filling. If what we got is representative and not a one off, I probably wouldn’t order them again.
The black bean tacos were very simple, but pretty good.
The atmosphere was kind of festive with light strips and they were bustling with customers inside. It had a slightly dimmed red light vibe.
The staff were friendly and very helpful, going out of their way to be helpful. Service took a few, but was reasonable for a sit down restaurant.
We bought four tacos each and enjoyed them, but went away a bit hungry still. Depending on your appetite you probably need at least 4-5 or likely more and they add up in price fast. We will likely try it again sometime, it was good, but I wouldn’t say great and a bit expensive for the amount of filing you get in the tacos. I might look at their burritos next time.
What a treat!! My wife and I had not been to Tiki Taco before. This place rocks! Yum!!!
I tried the carnitas (soft), ground beef (crunchy) and pastor (soft). The first two were our favorite. The pastor was a little dry and crunchy. The carnitas and ground beef were amazing!!
My wife ordered the black beans and a grilled shrimp taco, two of her favorite things and she loved both of them. Saying they were done well here.
We also got queso and a side of medium salsa with some chips. The chips were a little stale and neither the cheese dip nor the medium salsa had much flavor. But that’s OK. We just won’t order them next time. Now we know.
The real star was the ground beef tacos! We both loved them and wish we could make ground beef that flavor. They were so good. We ended up getting two more ground beef tacos, one crunchy and one soft.
What a treat this place is. So cute and they have a full bar. We will certainly return!!
My cheeseburger burrito, 1 didn’t have cheese, 2 the ground beef was old burnt and hard, 3 the fries tasted like old fries that sat on a dashboard of an old Honda. It was gross.
The surf and turf had 2 shrimp in it, no queso fresco, the steak was unseasoned tough and overcooked, no baja sauce. Serious let down for spending $30.
I asked for sauces and salsa on the side and got tomatillo. What happened to Tiki Taco?
We ordered 8 tacos to go. We got home to discover we only got 7 tacos. So they didn’t give us our full order. Unless my ground beef taco is invisible?
We only live 5 minutes down the street and the tacos were so cold by the time we got home. So I guess they just had them ready but didn’t call them out to us right away.
As for the taste of the tacos well they were quite subpar at best. Honestly, none of them tasted all that great. That said the chicken taco was definitely the least worst. I definitely wouldn’t be able to recommend this place to others.
