A recently renovated 1845 Country Inn on the shore of beautiful Glass Lake in a historical area of rural Rensselaer County, New York, 20 minutes east of Albany. We serve seasonally fresh, locally grown products in both French and American styles. Bon appetit!

Chocolate martini! Yummo. Excellent fries, clams, burgers, salmon. Seasonal cocktails are so good.
There is also an Open Mic Every Wednesday that we attend every week. An inviting, cozy atmosphere with the nicest patrons.

Its a cozy spot! We were in the area so gave it a try. I wouldn’t drive there as a destination. Food was good but on the heavy side. Parking is a little tricky but manageable if you’re creative. I wasn’t impressed with the steak and frits, the fries were limp and not crisp. My wife decided not to eat her leftovers we took home so I don’t think she loved her chicken meal either. I wish them well but maybe a better spot for a drink then dinner too.

I will DEFINITELY be back! Had the most amazing mussels for an app, delicious cocktails and wine, and our server, Gabby, was exceptional. I first want to say that Gabby knows how to give upscale service. I witnessed her impeccable host and table side manner. I also witnessed her professionally training a back of house staff about when to bring out our entree (after our app was cleared and drinks refilled) and training another server about not clearing/re-setting tables next to us while we were dining. She really has a superior understanding of the type of service this restaurant deserves. The food was very good, perfect (literally perfect) mussels. For our entree I got the salmon and my husband got the steak – both cooked perfectly and exactly to our preference. HOWEVER, the sides with our entrees were totally unseasoned veg and a baked potato. I’m fine with those sides, but not fine that they were completely unseasoned. Sauté my veg in garlic, oil, salt and pepper and put butter and salt and pepper on my baked potato and I’d give this place 5 stars. I think next time I go I’ll specifically ask for seasoned sides. Otherwise, we had a wonderful dinner and cannot underscore how fantastic our server Gabby was, we will return for her, the cocktails, and the mussels!

Seriously the worst food I’ve ever had in a restaurant. Ordered a NY strip steak and got some weird piece of prime rib – damp and gray, not seared at all. Asked for medium rare – got medium well. They were out of several menu items and the side dishes were corn and potatoes- no other options. It seems unlikely they will be in business much longer.

We had a private event for a charity that Tighe’s donates to, and it was an amazing time! We were given the beautiful back room and served amazing food and drinks. The service and atmosphere are wonderful here!

This was a great evening. The food was beyond expectations: we had escargot, mussels, the pork, and the salmon. Everything was prepared perfectly. The whole restaurant smelled like a delicious kitchen, and I couldn’t have asked for more.
The atmosphere is what it is for the location, but clearly they’ve put in a good effort to make it feel cozy and the right mix of upper class. I wouldn’t hesitate to suggest a date night or group night at this restaurant.

My boyfriend and I wanted to try something new in our area, and since this place was rated almost 5 stars I thought why not… walking into the restaurant you are greeted by a musty, old carpet smell that does not go away. We got the loaded fries; cheese sauce was good but half of the fries were freezer burnt or stale. I got the steak and vegetables of the day. Was not told what the vegetables were so I had to guess by biting into what looked like mac and cheese (it was cheesy Cauliflower, I think) and an odd choice for potatoes, whole baby potatoes with only butter and paprika as a seasoning. My boyfriend’s burger was barely seasoned. I hate to leave a bad review, but I was so disappointed to receive this 2 star experience when the place was rated so high, somehow. Staff was nice, only good part. Great potential, not there yet.

Definitely 5 stars for this place! The atmosphere is great, inviting and comfortable with a beautiful view of the lake. The staff is friendly and attentive. And the food…yum! I’ve only had a chance to try their soup course and cheesecake (with homemade strawberry topping), but both were out of this world. Definitely looking forward to stopping in for a full meal.
