If I could give this place zero stars, I would. This so-called Hong Kong/Korean–inspired restaurant should be ashamed to even associate itself with Hong Kong. Anyone who’s ever eaten in Hong Kong knows that city is famous for generous portions, real value, and hearty flavor. This place, on the other hand, serves food so tiny it looks like it was plated for toddlers.
For example, I ordered “signature” Tiger Lilly Beef dish — it arrived on a plate the size of a saucer with maybe three bites (see picture). I actually laughed out loud thinking it was a tasting portion. Nope, that was the full meal. I left hungrier than when I walked in.
The prices are highway robbery. They charge premium rates, then give you portions that wouldn’t fill a child. Their excuse? “We focus on quality over quantity.” Give me a break. There’s nothing “quality” about leaving customers still starving after spending half a paycheck.
The atmosphere is nice enough, but who cares when you’re watching your plate get cleared after 90 seconds because there’s nothing on it to begin with? This place isn’t celebrating Hong Kong’s vibrant food culture — it’s exploiting it.
If you want to experience what it feels like to be ripped off while pretending to eat “fine dining,” this is your spot. Otherwise, save your money and go anywhere else.
NEVER GOING BACK!!!
Despite being listed as a “Chinese Restaurant”, I would describe it as “Pan Asian” as there were dishes on the menu from nearly every east Asian country.
The place is small and the decor is a little all over the place, but I can’t wait to come back. Hidden gem in Fishers.
From the moment we walked into this place, I noticed the ambiance, the decor and the feel of the restaurant, we were greeted and welcomed by genuinely happy staff: Our server Manley, took the time to discuss some of the menu answer any questions and patiently waited for us to order, along the dining experience he also told us about himself and went out of his way to get to know us as well. It was genuine and unfiltered and I can’t tell you how refreshing and uplifting it is to get good service let alone GREAT service like this. It’s rare, and I feel like most establishments and especially now it’s almost non-existent so when you do get great genuine service it blows me away.
Manley than thoughtfully thanked us and asked our names and we got to confirm his. I know it’s not much right? To ask your diners their names, what stands out is this simple act of getting to know us, genuinely thanking us and hoping we return.
Here is the cherry on top, the food was some of if not the best I’ve had on the north side and in Indianapolis/Fishers. I could tell with the presentation, the first couple of bites that whomever was behind the creation of this food genuinely put their love, attention and detail into what they were making and serving (Come to find out it’s Manley’s Mom and Dad who are behind the operation, along with him)
I’m sharing this to confirm my renewed faith that there are still really special gems and establishments that are most deserving of our business and who deserve to be praised because they are fleeting and so when you/we stumble upon them I feel it is our obligation to spread the good word to make sure these types of places don’t go away. I highly encourage you to please check this place out. I know I will be a repeat and loyal patron for as long as they are open.
Service was fine and friendly. No complaints there.
