I’ve lived in the area a long time and been here several times. I was impressed by the reviews but not by the food. This Chinese food is average at best I didn’t feel the pictures accurately depicted the food nor did the reviews on taste. Fairly tasteless fried rice basic chicken, there are better option nearby. The amazingly quick service was appreciated despite everything else

Tiger Bowl- Southport, CT
Tiger Bowl is a small, intricately designed Chinese Restaurant located on the Southport-Westport border on Post Rd next to Michael’s and Village Bagels.
The service is impeccable service is unmatched but the food is what takes this place to the next level. There are dozens of Asian Restaurants in the area, but the freshness, and unique combination of herbs, spices and cooking techniques makes Tiger Bowl stand out.
The fried chicken delights(IE Sesame, General Tso, Lemon, Orange, etc) are unlike your standard chinese fair. Unlike other restaurants the crispy fried chicken is crispy on the outside, but magically soft in texture on the inside. There is a certain fluff to the inside of the chicken, almost similar to a corn dog batter. The soups are perfect for a cold winter’s day, and the beef dishes shine as well. My only critique is with the bonelesss ribs and spare ribs. Thought cooked nicely the sauce is a bit heavy and way too sweet.
In an area oversaturated with restaurants this is THE Go-To for delicious Chinese food for the whole family. They currently do not allow guests to dine in(thanks Covid) but are available for takeout and delivery 7 days a week.

First I tried my wings and they were gross and had no flavor but I was willing to let that go until then I opened my food and there was a spiral piece of silver something in my boneless spare ribs so I just had to leave a review. The food is really not that great and not worth the gamble of getting things in your food. Would definitely not recommend

Compared to any other Chinese restaurant in this area, no other eatery is even close. There is nothing to say bad and everything to say great about Tiger Bowl!! Cold noodles, beef and snow peas, and the boneless spare bibs are to die for. In my opinion, going else where for top end Chinese food, is not a big mistake, it is a HUGE MISTAKE.

I do not recommend Tiger Bowl Restaurant. It is fast delivery but it is expensive. I ordered Lo Mein $10.95, They charged me $5.00 for “fuel” and $4.00 tip. The delivery charge cost as much as the Lo Mein. I am Asian, 78 years old and lived in New York City for 20 years and I know good Chinese Food. Tiger Bowl has the worst SOUPS, especially the Wonton soups. The dumpling has no meat in it, just folded pasta. There are no vegetables, just 2-3 slices of carrots. The beef and chicken broth is not made from scratch, it just water with soy sauce in it. My laundry or dishwasher water probably tastes better. The Lo Mein has flavor BUT there is no vegetables or meat. The noodles were just tossed in oil and soy sauce. I am a resident of Westport for 30 years and I used to order from WESTPORT CHINESE TAKE OUT. Too bad they closed, they had the best Chinese food in their entire menu. STAY AWAY FROM TIGER BOWL Westport, CT

I order out from here all the time, the food is always great and the portions are generous. A very reliable Chinese restaurant and the staff is friendly. I’m happy I found this play.

I have been a customer from a very young age, and no one does sesame chicken and sesame noodles better than my friends at TB! Reasonable prices, high quality food, and good vibes all around.

The worst fried rice I ever had. The beef broccoli was awful the sauce was on the bottom and thick layer of OIL on top. Nasty!
Also, I asked for a chicken fried rice and guess what there as no chicken maybe one or two pieces. Never coming back
