Ever heard the expression, “Never judge a book by it’s cover.”? It applies to this little place for sure. Everyone is super hospitable, the food is always fresh. Their corn tortillas are made in house by hand. The one drawback is their flour tortillas do have a pre-made type taste, but it’s something you could look past. Always go there at least once a week. From the asados to menudo, everything is delicious. 10/10; all go get you some.

This place has been my favorite for about 2 1/2 years already and today I left disappointed.
For bfast I got machacado a la mexicana, and the machacado was nowhere to be seen, the tortillas are not as big as they used to be, way smaller, and don’t taste the same. The other tacos were sloppy and grease leaked into the plastic bag and got my white shirt stained. Not only that, the salsa containers were filled up halfway and watered down. Also the lunch plates were switched to smaller ones. I get the economy is not the best right now, but they could do better.

Nacho Business
This place used to be a great deal and worth the money. I’m not sure what happened in the last couple of months. They now have men serving and they serve everything all sloppily so with tacos the filling leaks out. They forget to include salsa, napkins and cutlery in the order. The ladies were way more detailed oriented everything was neatly packaged and they always got the order correct and provided everything in the bag. Now they serve less in the tacos and on the lunch plates. The food quality and taste changed. The food is greasier and bland. The nopales are bitter half of the time. The beans taste weird. Prices increased significantly. I spent 30 for 6 skinny greasy leaky wet tacos that were falling apart and 3 drinks. So 3.50 per taco and 3.00 per drink. Then their “large” menudo container is shorter and is $10.00. The menudo looked very unappetizing very greasy and seemingly full of cheap cuts thin and full of fat and a minimum amount of hominy. I understand the cost of everything went up. However, it doesn’t make sense to raise prices and reduce the amount of food you serve or change the quality. And add to that the sloppy manner in which it’s served to go. I’m extremely disappointed.

Food was great recommend the flour tortillas with any topping of choose because everything is good my husband love there soup it was veggie and beef. the guy was nice enough to ask us how everything was and if we wanted more, we pay after we eat. I high recommend it here

Food is good just make sure they make your order correctly. Went through the drive through and ordered a bacon and egg taco and a weenie con huevo taco. I got weenie a la mexicana and my bacon and egg taco hardly had any bacon and had weenie and huevo mixed with it. Tried calling the number on the receipt. It’s not accepting voicemails or calls. The number on google goes unanswered. I buy tacos on my way back home to Weslaco so I didn’t check it until I got home. I’ll be finding another breakfast taco spot from now on since this isn’t the first time my order gets messed up when I order in the drive through. I’m not sure if there is a new cook but the tacos before weren’t as greasy as they are now either.

Foods are very good. My husband likes to stop by in the morning. We stopped there yesterday, he ordered menudos and I ordered vegetables soup. Tables are small, we have to sit with other people.
