Reviews
– you can’t choose your table (no issues tho but worth mentioning). We stayed with a family of 4 almost at the same table (it was really close)
– i found raw pieces of chicken in the chilli chicken
– and here comes the issue with the service. The waiters were really nice and polite but there was a lady (perhaps the manager) that was really rude.
I’ve told one of the waiters that i found undercooked chicken and they reacted nice but when they informed this lady she became really rude accusing me that i am lying while shouting in the whole restaurant that “it’s not possible”
I wasn’t expecting my money back, but rather an apology although this didn’t happen.
I read more of the reviews and noticed that a lot of people had similar opinions regarding her attitude.
Taste of the food was mid, not as flavorful as other asian restaurants were I ate in Europe and US.
Service is automatically added to the bill and it’s about 10-12%
We had wonton soup, hot and sour soup (not really sour), sweet & sour chicken and chilli chicken with peanuts (this was the one that had undercooked chicken pieces in it)
What made the experience even worse was the service. The owner treated foreign customers with friendliness, but the moment she saw Asian faces, by the way, she’s an asian but living in italy:), her attitude changed completely — cold, dismissive, and impatient. That contrast was impossible to ignore and made the entire meal feel uncomfortable and unwelcome.
And on top of all this, they even charged a 12% service fee for service that was nothing short of terrible.
Terrible food, tiny portions, unpleasant treatment, and outrageous prices. I would never return, and I strongly advise others to avoid this place.
Happy to recommend this to anyone in Rome looking for good Chinese food.
When you’re at the point of your trip where you need to eat something other than Italian..
I particularly liked the spicy chicken with peppers. Can’t recall the specific name but it was pleasantly spicy and actually had a good amount of chicken. The sauteed cabbage and roast duck were also fairly good.
Service was pretty standard and the decor was fine as well. A good choice if you want a small break from Italian food.
The atmosphere is also fantastic. It’s a lovely, well-kept place with a great vibe, perfect for enjoying a meal. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I’ll definitely be coming back!
The food was decent, a little bland for what I am used to for Chinese food, but otherwise a refreshing change.
We did have what other reviews noticed, the 12% service tax. They insisted the city makes them do that, blah blah, and it is listed on the menu.
I am just visiting so it’s not something I will investigate further. If I had to do it again, I would find another place.
The dishes were extremely bland and lacked authentic flavors. The price seemed reasonable at first glance, but the portions were very small, making the total cost comparable to the local average. However, it turned out to be slightly more expensive because they added a 12% service charge.
If you’re Chinese or looking for authentic Chinese food, I wouldn’t recommend this place.
