We opted for the lunch menu rather than the brunch menu as the lunch menu had options more to our liking. The photos show the KK Chicken Salad and the Thai Tuna Salad selections. Both were extremely flavorful and plentiful. The small tuna pieces were very fresh and tender. The chicken salad was moist and full of chicken. In the background of the Thai Tuna photo, you see the aperol spritzer, done very nicely. Service was very attentive without being imposing, from the table setup to the waiter and even the manager.
The live music was recorded music accompanied by Doug playing saxophones, both tenor and soprano. His music provided an excellent backdrop to the wonderful vibe of conversations going on in the outdoor section of the restaurant. I thank Doug for playing in this restrained manner because it really added a nice touch to our meal.
The Restaurant offers both inside and outside seating. The menu has something for everyone.
Our food was prepared as requested and the portions were ample. The prices were reasonable.
They did have live music on the night we went
My wife ordered the crab cake benedict and I ordered their country fried steak. David our server informed me that they had a special on the country fried steak using a New York strip cut versus the regular cut. Let me tell you, it was amazing. The best chicken (aka country) fried steak that I ever had was at Dots Coffee Shop in Houston, Texas. Absolutely amazing plate sized chicken fried steak that was tender and flavorful. To my surprise, the special country fried steak at Tide and Tonic was just as flavorful and tender like the one at Dots.
My wife’s crab cake benedict was great, yummy with perfectly poached eggs and an incredibly light hollandaise sauce.
The weather was perfect and the outdoor seating near the ocean completed the relaxing vibes.
I highly recommend Tide & Tonic for anyone looking for a cozy and chill place, where the food and service is great and consistent.
Cheers!
