Perched where land meets sea on the shores of Mission Bay, Tidal is a San Diego outdoor restaurant that offers a thoughtful dining selection of local flavors and craft beverages that, like the ever changing tides, shift seasonally at Mother Nature’s whim.
Set in what was a private beach house in the 60s, this San Diego restaurant’s mid-century modern design draws from the era it was built by Hollywood producer Jack Skirball. A fire pit-dotted deck, communal tables, cozy lounge and savory menu of shared plates beckon casual group gatherings and lively conversation - though the 180° views of Mission Bay might just leave you at a loss for words.
Rustic & relaxed spot for Californian-inspired seafood & meat dishes amid communal tables.

Chef Charlotte and her staff were absolutely amazing. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted so warmly and made to feel welcome right away. The staff was incredibly attentive, asked about food allergies, and were both kind and knowledgeable throughout the evening.
The food was outstanding—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. We had the ribeye medallions, broccolini, macaroni and cheese, and crème brûlée, and honestly, it was some of the best food I’ve had in a long time. The cocktails were also delicious.
Everything from start to finish was nothing short of amazing. This was my first time dining here, and I already plan on coming back very soon. Highly recommend! Oh and the view! Must dine on the patio!

The food was absolutely delicious — definitely worth coming for. However, even with a reservation, we had to wait 25 minutes to be seated after coming straight from the airport, which was frustrating, especially since I’m pregnant. It would’ve been nice if the staff had been more considerate or communicative about the delay, plus on our reservation we put baby-moon and no one mentioned anything or offered due to their delay. Great food, but the service experience could be improved. (Highly recommend the bread service, it was delicious!)

Worth all the hype. Easily some of the best food we had during our 3 night stay at the resort. We had dinner twice and were willing to pay the price for it.
Reservations are a must – they really do get busy and stay busy. You can go a little early to get drinks started at the bar. Note: the bar tender wasn’t familiar with drinks off the short menu, so be prepared to explain what you want if it’s not listed.
Service was excellent all around though. Friendly, helpful, and attentive.
Food was phenomenal. 1st night we ordered an array of apps and sides after being unable to commit to a single dish. All of it was delicious. Among our favorites were the carpaccio and the crab cake… must orders if we were to return! Really can’t go wrong though. A side of potatoes would be worth your time.
Highly recommend. You’ll spend good money, but it won’t be with disappointment.

Tidal is the romance restaurant of San Diego! With a full row of two-top tables right along the deck glass overlooking Mission Bay, dinner and drinks are at their sunset best here. The food and service are fantastic too. Don’t miss the corn-and-poblano fondue — just divine — and the crab cake and scallops were excellent. The minted peas were a highlight too, and the meal as a whole was the best we had our entire vacation…perfection on a plate!

Had a great New Year’s Eve Brunch at Tidal! It was $37 per person and we sat on the dog friendly patio. The brunch buffet featured an omelette station, egg Benedict, scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, waffles, yogurt parfaits, fruits, bagels with smoked salmon, and breakfast pastries. Everything tasted really good, loved the scrambled eggs. Service was very friendly and quick. Recommend coming by, their regular menu looks really good too.

Tidal is a very nice restaurant within the Paradise Point Resort just north of San Diego downtown. The restaurant overlooks the bay with beautiful views and has a relaxing atmosphere. We visited Tidal during our stay at the resort a couple of times. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. Our waitress Julia had good suggestions about the menu. A highly recommended place to dine if you are in the area.

This restaurant was hit and miss but would give it another try. First it’s located in a hotel / resort area which unfortunately meant of a lot tourists with little kids (we are locals) some of them still in swimwear at this somewhat nicer (especially price wise) restaurant.) The tomato panzenella was amazing and so was my husband’s pasta, but unfortunately my fish was overcooked and dry.

We had the most amazing anniversary dinner here. We couldn’t find a single flaw — perfect drinks, perfect food, and perfect service from Esteban. He absolutely made our night. The ribeye and halibut were to die for and the seasonal pumpkin pie tiramisu was delicious.

Located right on the beach, a high end restaurant with a beautiful view of the sunset on nice day so ask for outdoor seating. Afterwards walk down to the beach for a nice romantic stroll. Food was delicious, excellent presentation. Service is friendly and attentive as one would expect at a nice restaurant. Ceviche was fresh and beautifully laid out like a work of art. Pacifico Sea Bass entree was nicely grilled but the risotto was way too salty, hence deducting a star for the food.
