I kid you not, the “XL” pizza that we ordered… was the size of my hand. Like what? We also ordered a chicken Alfredo to go and we were ultimately disappointed with both. Flavor was almost nonexistent and the pizza was okay at best. I gave 2 stars because I still ate it (I was not going out again). But for $50 I definitely expected more.

We’ve been visiting Avon for years and have always enjoyed this spot in the past—it used to be one of our go-to places. Unfortunately, the quality has slipped in some key areas recently.
We ordered the Margherita pizza, which arrived cold with barely any sauce and lacked the flavor we remembered. Another couple at our table got the arugula pizza, which felt more like a salad dumped on a thin, cracker-like crust than a proper pizza. That said, the rest of the menu items we tried were solid and enjoyable.
Our waitress, Oana, seemed disengaged throughout the evening. With our party of six triggering an automatic gratuity (around $76), she mostly just dropped off food and rarely checked in. Requests for refills, extra items, or even basic attention were met with visible annoyance.
For a bill that approached $500, we expected a much better overall experience. If you’re planning a night out in Avon with a similar budget, you’d likely find stronger options elsewhere—especially if pizza is on your mind. We won’t be rushing back anytime soon.

This place is a great Italian restaurant! Ticino in Avon ️ serves a wonderful selection of delicious dishes ️ – definitely get the Fungi Pizza , Beef Soup , and Cheese Appetizer! Staff is nice and welcoming, service is quick ⏲️ and professional, and the ambience is great! Would definitely recommend calling to make a reservation. ️ I wish I knew about this place earlier!

Very authentic feeling little Italian restaurant! Fortunately we were able to grab seats at the bar but definitely make a reservation as it gets busy. Great environment, tasty food, and fast service. Make sure you end with a glass of the homemade limoncello!

I have been coming here with my family of 8 for years. The food and service are excellent. I am very particular about Italian food and I am always impressed. This place is small so you need a reservation. Walk ups can’t be accommodated easily.
The low reviews that I have seen are mostly from people who don’t get it that a small restaurant has limited seating and to make a living must turn over tables efficiently. This place does that very well but showing up with an entitled attitude isn’t going to change the way they do business. Make a reservation! You will be happy with the quality of the food and the service.

Our reviews had over 56 million views in the last 12 months. We do not get paid we just love to eat and have fun. We really love Ticino. Small family owned, must call for reservations. Food is spectacular. She had margherita pizza which had fresh tomatoes and fresh basil. She added anchovies and they were just the right amount. Pizza is thin with lots of flavor but not cracker thin. Think NY style crust. I had the El Diablo and it was spicy but oh so good. loved the fact that the jalapenos were fresh, bread is home made and served hot. We both had a pasta dish to try for the review. You mix and match here which gives you lots of option. Pick a pasta, pick from 9 sauces, pick protein such as shrimp, meatballs, Italian sausage (omg was the sausage great!!!! home made as well), chicken, parmigiana and others. All of it is excellent. They put a small amount of sauce on top but a lot on bottom so you can mix it up if you like lots of sauce. I prefer only a little sauce but she mixed hers up with her gnocchi and loved it. All pasta and gnocchi are homemade daily. Desserts are great here!!! We tried most of them. Cannoli’s are hand made only after you order them, very good, The panna cotta is the best dessert with lovely lite little huckleberry type sauce and LOTS of whipped cream. Had the pistachio gelato and the salted caramel and dang they were awesome. Expresso and all your coffee drinks available here as well as a full bar with lots of warm fun drinks to try. This place was awesome and is a must go to when in Vail or Beaver Creek. Cannot say enough about how good it is. The one odd thing is that it is HARD to find. Not good signage and you have to go inside a building and kind of walk around to find it. see photos below of us looking for it. Price is low for the area and food comes out fast and hot. This place is fantastic – we ordered takeout for our whole family while staying in a lodge nearby..the food was delicious, staff was friendly and helpful, and we felt the value was excellent as well. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a hearty meal after skiing!

Great Italian restaurant! Super cozy and intimate feeling with great food! Had dinner with a small group and everything was great. Our server was very friendly, professional, and prompt and food came out quickly and hot. Great wine selection. The Caesar salad with anchovies was fresh and good. We also tried the lasagna, which was awesome and big enough to share or take left overs home, and a build your own pasta with homemade fettuccine and clams, which was light and good and easy to share as well. Definitely worth a stop for great Italian!

Cozy joint with the best Italian food I’ve had in Vail valley. The house special Lasagna didn’t disappoint. Other pasta dishes were also great. Their maranina makes the dish. Nice selection of Italian wine and a friendly staff. It looks like they have a nice patio as well during warmer weather.

Looking at the poor reviews, a lot of people commented that they couldnt dine because they didnt have a reservation. We went during off season and it was packed!! I can’t imagine how busy they are during the winter. You definitely want to book a reservation.
