Excellent stop for food, fun, and laughs! Service is excellent as well! Outdoor patio that is dog-friendly. Hilltop has specials every day of the week!

On Friday I went in and order 6 boneless wings, and a baked fish fry dinner. Fish was excellent, the boneless wings on the other hand not so much. The piece you see was the last piece of the wings that I cut open because it was bigger then the others and I found it undercooked, for all I know all the pieces were undercooked….Told the waitress and she said she would show the cook and message the manager, ( which I doubt either was done.) Didn’t offer to pay for my meal or at least take the wings off my bill so I emailed whoever runs the emails on Friday, and have yet to hear anything back. I hope this is/was addressed because that’s ridiculous.

Well we attempted to give it 1 last shot. First time we went, we only stayed for one drink but that’s only cause our bartender disappeared. 2nd time we were told there was some cook issue (last night’s cook didn’t prep apparently so the day cook was running way behind). Told it would be at least an hour wait. We were fine with that & just put our order in first. During that hour several more people came in & also ordered. Ours came out last despite being put in first & it was subpar at best. We gave them one more shot when we went by on the boat, saw the giant sign all lite up saying OPEN, so we dock the boat (a chore in itself) & my elderly father & I climb all the way up that hillside & all the way up to the road to see that they’re not even open!! The owner can defend his inattentive wait staff & top notch “MILWAUKEE” chefs all he wants but who forgot to turn off the lights??

“Honey, ask the neighbors if they know of any fine eateries near us for a group supper!”. This is what transpired just one measly week ago, and boy was I glad that we were recommended the Hilltop Restaurant and Pub. As you wind through the driveway, you take in the serene landscape that surrounds the hill. Entering the establishment is at first a typical experience. That’s until you’re greeted with the grinning faces of the friendly wait staff. Boy dandy, are they nice. We got an appetizer and a few brews before our main course, the fish! It was rather fishy (get it?) on how incredible it tasted, as if it was freshly caught from Lake Tichigan that morning. We ended up going for the food and staying for the company and atmosphere. After a couple rounds of darts, and maybe a couple rounds (too many) of beers, we decided to call it a night. Feining for the next time that the dinner bell rings from atop the hill.

The waitress was nice. The food however was not good. We got the prime rib and two burgers. The prime rib was decent. The burgers were atrocious. They were frozen patty’s and had a horrible taste. The waitress was kind and took one of the burgers off the bill as I only took a couple bites. The food did come out pretty quick but there was only about 10 people in the entire place. Will not be returning.

Let me begin by saying the service was great. The food was very good, and came out in a reasonable amount of time. The waitress Mandy, Maddie, maybe Madison? ♂️ was very nice, and despite the dining room of the restaurant being nearly full, she didn’t seem to skip a beat. The only time I saw her flustered was when some older guy resembling crusty the clown stopped her when she was on the way back to our table. Couldn’t hear everything, but managed to make out “whose joint is this?”, and something like “If you don’t like it………”. You could tell she was uncomfortable and wanted to get to our table. Then it sounded like he told her “they can wait, I’m the owner right?” I couldn’t believe it. If he was the owner why would he stop his waitress just to hear her tell him he’s the owner. It was bizarre. If that’s a regular occurrence, I can’t see why anyone would want to work there. Either way, the food was great. The waitress was great. Really everything was great besides the high strung “owner?” stopping our waitress from serving us because “we can wait”. Very unprofessional. I’m sure it was uncomfortable for the waitress. I sure wouldn’t want to have to provide affirmations to the boss mid task. Other than that, we enjoyed ourselves

Well I can say I will never eat there again. Had to flag down a server to be able to order dinner, waited over an hour to get our food. The ONLY reason we did not walk out was because of the server we had named Desiree. She was absolutely amazing even went into the kitchen to make our appetizers and plate our food. Thank you so much Desiree for trying to make sure we had a good experience. Management and other waitstaff was like something I had never seen before. So yes I would not recommend this place at all…
