I’ve been a loyal customer for years, but my recent experiences have been disappointing.
For two consecutive weekends, I was seated outside under less-than-ideal conditions.
Last weekend, I ended up with a sunburn because the staff member was unable to properly adjust the umbrella. This weekend, I was initially placed at another outdoor table without any shade. When I requested to be moved indoors or to a shaded table, I was told there would be a wait, which I accepted.
However, after finally being seated and placing our order, I noticed another table that arrived after us received their food, finished their meal, while we were still waiting. I had to go inside to check on our order, and only then was it brought out promptly.
Unfortunately, the service over these two visits has not reflected the standard I’ve come to expect. Given the consistent issues, I’ve decided it’s best to take a break from this establishment for the time being. Hopefully they are able to make some adjustments.

We’re confident in saying we’re regulars here. Tia’s is hands-down our go-to brunch spot! The food is always delicious, the vibes are cozy, and the service is top-tier. We’ve never had a bad waitress; everyone is friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming.
Let’s talk about the lattes!!!
My personal latte ranking:
1) Malassadas Latte
2) Bolacha Maria Latte
3) Pastel de Nata Latte – yes, it actually comes with a pastel de nata on top
They offer dairy substitutes like oat and almond milk, which is a lifesaver for my fellow lactose-intolerant folks!
Their brunch specials never miss. I still think about their avocado toast they had a while back. Can’t wait for it to come back! And don’t even get me started on the French toast. The dulce de leche version was incredible, and this weekend’s Madeira wine French toast… I could eat it every day of the week.
My go-to order is simple but always hits: scrambled eggs with Queijo São Jorge, home fries, bacon, and a bolo levedo grilled with butter. Comfort food perfection.
Best Portuguese spot around and easily the best place for brunch. Don’t walk, RUN ♀️

Went for dinner on a Saturday. Bread was beautiful, fresh. Servers were really nice guys (I believe Nick helped us) working together, and the pork alentejada was by far the BEST dish I’ve had at a restaurant in America, period. So fresh, tender, ENORMOUS portion, and simply well done. The whole meal cost well below what I expected with no “catch.” I’m making a point to visit every time I’m in NB

This was one of the best breakfast restaurants I have ever been to. The home fries are wonderful, the best you will find! The food was tasty and the service was fast and efficient. The only downside was that it was too loud inside, I could not talk or hear my husband sitting across from me. I will definitely be returning.

We stopped in for dessert after lunch. The chocolate lava cake was really good but those egg tarts are fantastic. I try them almost any time I see them and these may be the best I’ve had.
Service was polite but not really friendly. We didn’t really feel welcome so we ate dessert and got out quickly. They appeared to have just gotten past their lunch rush so they may have just felt rushed themselves.
The dining area itself is cozy and comfortable. I’d like to try the other foods and sit a little longer next time.

Breakfast was good. Coffee drinks were overpriced. We had a table for two in the middle of the room, which was very uncomfortable with people trying to maneuver around us. We were there 35 minutes and after we got our bill and paid, I asked if I could place an order to go. Our waitress, Kristen, asked us to move over to the door way to free up the table because she claimed there was a large group waiting. I can see if we were there over an hour however we felt rushed the whole breakfast. This is the second time I have gone there for breakfast and noticed the servers have an attitude. Won’t be going back for sure! It’s too bad… The place is cute, but they definitely do not appreciate their customers’ business!
