We started with frozen strawberry margaritas and the complimentary chips and salsa. The margaritas were refreshing and tasty, though a bit small for the price. The chips and salsa were a highlight right away: thin, crispy chips and a salsa that was a little different than usual. It was very tomato-forward, almost reminiscent of pasta sauce, but in a good and unexpected way.
For dinner, my partner and I both ordered the taco dinner with double red rice and no beans (chicken for me, steak for him). I loved the chicken tacos; they were incredibly juicy and flavorful. My partner really enjoyed his steak tacos as well and liked how the steak was prepared, though he felt the seasoning could have been a bit stronger.
One thing worth noting is that the taco dinner comes with two tacos instead of the three you often get at other Mexican restaurants, which made it feel a bit expensive for the price; especially since we ended up ordering an extra taco anyway. That said, the quality of the food was definitely there.
The decor at Tia Carmen was amazing: bright, colorful, and full of fun personality. The space felt lively and inviting, and the staff was very friendly and attentive throughout our visit.
Overall, a great experience with delicious food, vibrant atmosphere, and warm service; just a bit pricey for the portion sizes. We’d still happily come back.

Excellent food and excellent service. Me and my friends visited here as a group of 5 and every one of us loved our food and loved the staff even more. We all agreed this is somewhere we want to come back to. It is a smaller spot, so not a ton of seating but worth the wait if its busy!
Little tip: The bathroom faucets are aggressive. Take it easy with the handle so you dont get sprayed!

Hubby said the house margaritas was the best one he’s had in a while! Loved how the salsa came with warm chips when we sat down. The salmon chipotle was crispy and delicious and my husband liked his La bamba burrito. All very good! We had an issue with my salmon originally and they took care of it and took care of us as well. Overall good experience.
Be sure to dress warm if you’re dining during the winter. I was very cold during my whole dinner- not a lot of heat in the restaurant.

This place is fire! literally! My plate was presented with fire, the drinks have smoke coming from them and I received a dessert with a sparkler! Just celebrated birthday dinner here and the music and ambience was amazing!! Highly recommend! Shout out Jose!

It was asi asi…at best. Queso was delicious, that’s where it stopped being delicious. Can’t remember what it’s called… but it was chicken, guacamole, and white cheese on red rice. It was extremely bland. It was like eating nothing. My wife got fajitas. She said it was just ok. I tasted the chicken, and it was bland, too. I was not impressed whatsoever. Maybe I caught the chef on a bad day or something. Our waitress was very nice, as well as the rest of the staff. The atmosphere was very pleasant, I like the look and vibe of the place. I just wished the food matched the atmosphere. Walking in I really had high hopes but the food was just bland and like I said I felt like I was eating nothing.

We came here as a last minute visit because we were both hungry and Google suggested this place. I saw the ratings on line so I decided to give it a try. The atmosphere here is beautiful. The server ,Jose, was very nice and attentative. I ordered their chicken quesadilla plate and the red rice was absolutely delicious. The red rice included carrots, corn, kidney beans, and peas. At the end of our meal we got the churro dessert and I am not even exaggerating this is the best churro I’ve ever had. My husband felt the same way. They came out hot and fresh with ice cream, whipped cream, strawberries, blueberries and coconut . We ate the whole thing! If you decide to stop by make sure to try their churros for sure.

We had such a great lunch at Tia Carmen’s! The food and service were both outstanding. Our waitress, Alejandra, was amazing — so friendly and attentive. She made us the most delicious Halloween margaritas with edible glitter and little spiders — such a fun and festive touch!
We ordered enchiladas and burritos, which were the perfect portion sizes for lunch, and the street corn was absolutely incredible. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented.

Restaurant that was here before -Sergio’s was really good. We were hoping for a similar experience. Slightly disappointed. Shrimp tacos loaded with something but it wasnt shrimp. Usually expecting three tacos but they only shoot you two. $1.50 for a very small side of sour cream. I get the location is more expensive.
We enjoyed the atmosphere, its decorated well. Wife really liked the frozen margarita, plenty of booze! Maybe you will have a better experience.
