Stumbled upon this restaurant while driving interstate. Found a gem in North Andover! Food was excellent. Service however could be better. He was friendly but just lacking the customer service skills. Place is loud and you will definitely smell like food once you leave due to hibachi style cooking.

I have had many memorable meals at Thyme. The sushi is consistently top-notch. On New Year’s Eve I called the restaurant several times regarding a takeout order I was placing. They were extremely patient and accommodating every time in spite of the holiday rush. Thyme has the most mouth-watering sushi, a very welcoming atmosphere and an amazing caring team who truly prioritize customer satisfaction. Whether you eat in or out, you won’t be disappointed. I can’t wait to enjoy their amazing sushi again soon!

I visit this restaurant often and am always impressed! The sushi is absolutely delicious; each roll is beautifully presented and clearly made with care and high-quality ingredients. The staff are consistently friendly and attentive, which makes every dining experience even more enjoyable. The hibachi experience is just as great, with skilled chefs who make the meal both entertaining and delicious. I’ll definitely keep coming back. Highly recommend!

One hibachi chef for four tables on a Friday night led to a less than ideal experience for my wife’s birthday dinner. Our reservation was for 8pm, we sat down at 8:30pm, and then we couldn’t get the waitress’s attention for over 10 mins. Our chef arrived at 9:20pm. We ordered hibachi but the chef didn’t have yum yum sauce or ginger sauce to offer anyone. The food was less than mediocre.

I came here to celebrate my brother’s birthday. Service was standard able but with a language barrier I can understand why its hard to understand the wait staff. Chef Dennis was awesome. I had Japanese food before but it wasn’t up to standards but here at thyme it was PERFECT.

Food is fine. However, the waitress came and asked us ‘Are you ready to order?’ after we just started to read the menu, I said ‘later’ and she asked ‘Is it just a second?’ If this is not called rushing the costumers, then what is it called? Dear manager, please train the waitresses, they need to improve their attitude towards customers.

Went for lunch and food was ok. Not the best but definitely far from the worst. My only issue was with the Bento box and how confusing it was. The bento box had 4 options A) sushi roll, B) tempura C) teriyaki and choice of protein and D) sashimi and on top it had option for gyoza or shumai and miso soup or salad. The pic even shows a box with all options sectioned in it. I got through and ordered what I thought were choices and was informed that it was A, B, C , OR D, NOT all. So I adjusted and ordered an additional 2 rolls, the same ones that was offered as an “option.” Come to find out, the server was somewhat wrong because out benton came with a sushi roll as well. There server could’ve stopped me from ordering the extra if he knew that. Or he could’ve came back and said he made a mistake, but nope, just put the order in. Food came out and we were confused as hell. Granted, it was cheap because it was lunch time. But I just dont like how they advertised 1 thing with pics, and im told otherwise, and still get what was advertised but now certain things were randomly placed because I didnt pick an option. Also, my brother is vegetarian by choice at the moment as a religious sacrifice and had ordered a side order of sushi rice along with his miso soup. A bowl of sushi rice with furikake and bonito flakes came out and now he cant eat it. Luckily i had a bento box with plain rice that i could switch out n with him.
Server was a young kid that needed to be more knowledgeable. We still ate paid and didn’t complain to them because it was not busy at all.

Ordered pickup and lady was not nice. Just pointed food for me to pick up. No welcome or thank you. This is why I don’t tip anymore when I pick up. The food is good though.
