Haddock had a good batter but wasn’t that great. It was too dry so it ended up in the garbage. The macc salad also ended up in the garbage. It was basically sugar, water and celery. It was as if I was eating a sugar cube! I’m glad I bought the small one. The small shrimp was OK. They were clean and had a good batter however that’s all it was..batter. I’m glad I tried it because I pass it alot and was curious about the seafood but sadly I will not be returning. The lady who works there is very nice and has a pleasant attitude.

First time at Thurston Seafood after an airport drop off of a friend. I have a love for seafood ~ fried being at the top of my list. I also grew up having kin that knew how to prepare and cook fresh seafood. It’s all about the coating when fried. You need just the right amount of seasoning to bring out the flavor, not overpower it. My ocean perch and seafood was cooked just right, but it was missing something. I found it to be a bit bland (but still good!); the same w/the french fries as they needed just a touch of salt. I think a light hand w/some seafood seasoning mix would have made the generous portioned meal perfect.
The woman that took my order was very nice. The place appeared to be quite clean (it is take out only), and there was a fairly steady stream of customers as I ate my meal in the parking lot, finishing just before 5:00 pm.

Great place for fried fish. It’s take-out only. They have fried okra, catfish, tilapia, haddock, and another I can’t recall. The macaroni salad is so good I wish I’d gotten a large bucket of it. Went back and had the beer battered haddock, BEST EVER!, it was so good I was in heaven again!

Went looking for a new place to get Fish Fry and found Thurston, so glad we did. The beer battered fried haddock was excellent. Large portions of both fish and fries. It’s take out only – worth it.

The last couple of times I ordered, the food was extremely bland. Today, I asked for extra seasoning hoping it would improve the taste. However, when I tasted the food, it was even more bland than the last time. I gave it two stars because the food was fried well, but the taste was not good. The food was excellent when they first opened, but not so much anymore. The food is far too expensive to not taste good. The customer service is also not as good as it used to be. When I called the woman that answers the phone kept talking over me as I was trying to order. Unfortunately, this will be my last time ordering from them. So disappointing.

Wow The fish pieces are huge and the French fries were fried to perfection had a crunch on outside and soft on inside , fish had a nice cornmeal batter and fresh and seasoned just enough , They are really nice warm friendly people, I’d definitely recommend this place☺️❣️

I heard good things about their fish dinners. Unfortunately, when I arrived, they were out of fish. However, they were very welcoming and polite. The establishment was clean. I would try them again.
