First time trying Thum’s. The restaurant was pretty quiet when I walked in ( 4 tables occupied) due to dinner service just starting. I was waiting to be seated and no one came. I saw a staff member come up from the basement – look at me waiting and then continue on. I was going to walk out as it was pushing 5 minutes without even a one second or hello but decided I’ll just walk to the bar to get take out instead because I really wanted to try. I walked up and asked to order take away. A woman behind the bar explained the different dishes – I ordered and waited. I went downstairs to use the washroom – it was not the cleanest. I got the food and left. The chicken satay was very good. It was flavourful and juicy. The wraps however weren’t my favourite . I think there was mint or some kind of leafy spice that I didn’t enjoy. Overall it was pretty good but not sure I’d return with the service I experienced.

As a Thai person, I can confidently say this place is an amazing choice!

The chef and staff are Thai and incredibly friendly, which makes the experience even more special. The food is definitely authentic—just like home. If you’re craving the true taste of Thailand, this is your go-to spot! There’s a wide variety of dishes to choose from, so there’s something for everyone.

Highly recommended—you won’t be disappointed!

On our way back from Québec to Toronto, my husband and I stopped by this Thai restaurant—and it was such an impressive experience! The bold, authentic flavors hit just right for anyone who loves Asian food, while the adjustable spice levels make it super welcoming for newcomers to Thai cuisine.

Thum’s Kitchen has a lovely interior with thoughtful aesthetic touches that create a warm, inviting atmosphere. Unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to the ambiance. Pad Thai had an overpowering ketchup and vinegar flavour that overwhelmed the dish, even my son, who usually enjoys Pad Thai, couldn’t eat it. The complimentary Tom Yum soup with the entrées tasted more like vinegar water with a few mushrooms tossed in. None of us in our group finished our meals, which says a lot. While the decor shows care and attention, the food felt rushed and unbalanced. Sadly, I wouldn’t return for the dining experience.

Feels like Thailand! Best Thai restaurant around. It feels like travelling all the way on the other side of our blue planet. The decor, the music but mostly the ladies that work there. They are from Thailand and dress in their traditional costumes. They are also very pretty, friendly and smiley! I had their Tom Kha soup before, and it was out of this world. I also tried their Tao HooTod and I could not believe how fried tofu could be so good; especially served with their little fresh sauce. Today we had their Pad Se-Ew and Pad Preow Wan Pak and it was great (flavorful veggies on noodles or rice. We also tried their Guai-Tiao Ped Toon (If you like duck). We finished our meal with their Deep-Fried banana abut were a little disappointed; they were small and not very warm. Overall, I recommend this place as it is the best Thai around. 😉

It’s one of the best restaurants in town. The tables are spacious, and the service was excellent. The waitress was very kind. The pad thai was delicious and packed with fresh nuts. The mango salad was generous and tasty, and the shrimp rolls were crispy and flavorful.

Stopped by in this Thai restaurant on the way to Toronto. There’s lot of seats inside. The place is very homey and the service is really good. The staff was very helpful in helping us decide what to order.

Food was undoubtedly fantastic. We had the fried rice, tom yum, fresh spring rolls. The pad thai was a bit too sweet but was still good. Thai iced tea was really good also.

A cozy, warm family run business. A welcoming atmosphere and staff attitude. They serve Thai menu and were helpful by accepting our request to customize the dishes. Plenty of parking space. Will recommend the place.
