I previously ordered orange chicken with steamed rice and an egg roll. While the steamed rice and egg roll were actually very good, the orange chicken was extremely disappointing. The sauce tasted unusual, but I initially assumed it was simply not to my preference and continued eating. Shortly after, I bit down on something hard and felt it grind against my teeth. Upon inspection, I discovered what I first thought was a seed but it turned out to be a small rock. I then noticed multiple tiny rocks mixed throughout the orange chicken.
This was extremely disturbing and immediately made me feel sick. I contacted the restaurant to explain what I had found, but my concerns were dismissed. Instead of offering a refund, they only offered credit. Given the circumstances, I do not understand why anyone would feel comfortable returning after finding literal rocks in their food.
This restaurant was once decent, but the quality and customer service have clearly gone downhill. I would not recommend eating here.
In the pictures are combination fried rice, chicken and broccoli, hunan beef and fried wonton
We were greeted friendly, however, the young lady that served us didn’t seem to be present, she was soft spoken so we had to keep asking what she was saying and she didn’t seem to want to be there but as we were eating the owner came over and apologized and she took very good care of us and was very friendly. The environment was very clean.
One thing I would suggest to them is to maybe have some signs like “Order here” or maybe “Line starts here” because it was a bit confusing on who was waiting for food or who was waiting to order. Once it was figured out they explained to us that you can either pick multiple entree combo options from the made food in the pans or you can order the made to order items individually.
We ordered both, mist of the items in the pans were already gone because we did go there about 1.5-2 hours before they closed. So I would suggest that you come earlier for fresher food or order from the menu as it is made to order.
The batch of honey chicken from the already made had good flavor but it was not as fresh so it was dry but again if we ordered it from the menu or got there earlier I am sure it would have been much better. The pepper chicken was very good and flavorful as well, not spicy at all. The bourbon chicken was juicy and also had a good grill flavor. The faves because they were made to order was the combination fried rice, which was very plentiful and had the larger size shrimp even though there were like 4 or maybe 5 I am okay with it because it was not the small size. Their Orange chicken was great, it had a great caramelized char and good crunch from the light batter and chicken was very juicy. I loved their minimal breading on the chicken because you actually get chicken and not only breading like most places.
We do have a regular Chinese spot we go to that is a little farther but we will definitely come back and love it because it’s so much closer.
