I ordered the onion ring app to start. It was well above average. Perfectly cooked but could have been seasoned better. Not a ton of flavor in the batter, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
Ok, here is where things fall apart. I ordered the Sweet Heat Chicken Sandwich as my entree. When it came, I noticed it consisted of two small, thin chicken patties like you would find in the frozen food section at your local grocery store. Once I bit into the sandwich, my suspicions were confirmed: processed chicken. Not what I was expecting from this establishment. To be clear, my expectation was for a fresh chicken breast, battered and fried on site. I tried my best to capture this in the photos I took. I was extremely disappointed to say the least, especially for the price point. (The fries and Mac and cheese were excellent!)
I would return in the future for drinks, however I will eat elsewhere.
The area is really nice and cozy. We enjoyed eating outside.
The foods that we ordered was absolutely delicious and satisfying. Except for the mac and cheese where the cheese seemed grainy and not fully melted. Oh, and they disappointingly forgot to put cheese in the build-your-own burger that we also ordered *not pictured*.
Get the onion rings though, the dips that came with it were absolutely delicious!!!
The food, the service, the craft beer…and the patio since we brought our dachshund! Shout out to Jasmine who took such great care of us. We ordered the Whiskey Battered Onion Rings as our appetizer followed by the Swiss Mushroom hamburger/ Chicken sandwich with the side salad.
The food was good. Fries were typical affair, but served in a cool little basket. The burger was a little better than average, but not by much. The pork rind nachos were amazingly good. As always, three notched beers are excellent. Definitely worth going for the beer, the nachos, and a nice place to hang out with family and friends. Go check them out!
Update. The pork skin nachos are off the menu. The beer is still good, as is the service. The food is good, but I have cold fries delivered on two separate occasions now. Everyone in the party of 4 had cold fries. The place still has an awesome atmosphere, and it’s dog friendly. Still definitely worth having a meal there and trying a tasty brew, like local lager!
I twice enjoyed one of the Fresh Beers (IPA), and bought a 4-pack of the West Coast IPA to go.
Food! The menu is robust. I chose the PitMaster Burger, which combines pulled pork with a large burger patty. It was very filling and delicious. The pork has a stronger flavor, and it worked well for me. The hand cut fries with sea salt were excellent.
My wife had the steak Caeser salad. She ate every bite of a generous bowl. The sirloin steak was very good, but some gristle was present.
Strongly recommend this brewpub!
