This visit was the first time I was ever at this location while I’m out traveling. Overall, the location, the atmosphere and the service was all really good. I purchased the pulled chicken, which had good flavor, but was dry, even adding the sauce, (which was really good by the way) it was still on the dry side. Therefore, I gave the lower rating.

I’ve had BBQ all over the country and while it’s not the best, the service and atmosphere makes up for it. I always over order at places to try everything – I got the platter with the vinegar pork and BBQ ribs. The pork was perfect but there was hardly any meat on the ribs and what was there was very dry. They probably would have been better around lunchtime.
The sides are my favorite thing on a menu and these were average. The potato salad seemed like the potatoes were previously frozen, thawed, them frozen again with the texture. The baked beans were good. I also sampled the hush puppies which were good (I would have preferred more of a real butter vs a processed butter for them) and the onion straws (which were the best of the four sides!).
Finally, I always get dessert and tried a piece of the peanut butter pie (incredibly rich, one ate one nite and saved the rest) and the fried Oreos, which came with a choice of ice cream. The cinnamon ice cream was one of the best I’ve ever had! The Oreos were severely under fried so if texture bothers you or you don’t like raw batter, maybe ask for a longer fry.
Overall, I’d def try again earlier in the day!

Amazing BBQ!
I’ve tried Texas BBQ, Oklahoma BBQ, Little Rock BBQ, Memphis BBQ, North Carolina BBQ and this spot is delish! As a wannabe BBQ expert I can’t say enough good things.
MUST TRY = the vinegar pulled pork and the buffalo chips! Absolute fire and the hush puppy was exceptional — expert fry with amazing depth of flavor.
The pulled chicken was also terrific – so much flavor!
Special side was fried Okra and the flavor and texture was to perfection! No joke. Maybe best fried Okra I’ve tried anywhere…
Highly recommend this spot!

Great lunch stop off of I-81! While passing through western VA, we found this gem for lunch right off 81. Outstanding service and atmosphere! Lots of seating and very clean/neat (including the bathrooms). Sweet tea was freshly brewed with the right amount of sweetness (not thick syrupy-tasting). For an appetizer, we got the Smoked Buffalo Chicken Rangoons, which were wontons with a soft mixure of smoked chicken, BBQ sauce, and cheese. For lunch, we had the BBQ Pulled Chicken sandwich with sweet KC bbq sauce. Delicious and hearty portion of chicken. One with a side of onion straws with a cajun horseradish sauce, the other with a side of sweet potato fries with peach ketchup… It was more like a peach jam which was confusing on my taste buds since my eyes saw and expected honey but it was peachy. Overall, very happy with the taste, portions, service, and price! Was definitely a great find and a must-stop if you are looking for a delicious BBQ meal and/or traveling by and don’t want the same old fast food. Highly recommended!!

The sandwich was absolutely delicious! All of the staff were very kind and friendly tending to our need, for the duration of us being there. The entire restaurant, including the restroom, were very clean, which is always a blessing!
Overall, I would highly recommend Three Li’l Pigs Barbecue, if you are in the area. Hypothetically, if I was local, this would definitely be my go to place for Barbeque!

This a great BBQ restaurant. We’ve dined in, and had take out before. The food and service is great. Great selection of sides also, that pair well with delicious bbq. We’ll be back. 5
Update: We got takeout from here again, and still all good! Great BBQ, Buffalo chips, sweet potato fries, and baked beans. Friendly and good service. 5

Coming from Texas, this place is pretty good! We’ve lived in town for a while, after visiting several times, we think the sauce is delicious. Pulled pork sandwiches are their best menu item.
Would love to see a facelift, something to bring the crowd back in, drink specials or social media events.
Ribs were a bit dry, but had great potential. A little attention to preparation and presentation, and this place would have it nailed.
Beer is cold and the cocktail selection has a fair amount of options. Although they’re walking distance from the ABC store so they have all the tools to offer a mixologist and extensive drink menu.
Rangoon was delicious too! We like to take pork & Cole slaw to go for lunch snacks.

Stopped by for takeout while on a trip and it was great! I’m a huge fan of the NC style vinegar based sauce and that was delicious. The hush puppies, potato salad and buffalo chips were also really good as sides.

Our family ordered a Thanksgiving feast from Three Little Pigs November 2025). It was delicious and the portions were huge. At the last minute, Grandma increased the order size to ensure there was plenty for several of our family members who are healthy eaters – this was unnecessary (we froze a good bit to serve at Christmas and our entire crew ate twice on our original order)!! We have ordered our last three Thanksgiving meals and this far exceeds our previous meals. Ordering and pick ups were courteous and timely. Well done, Three Little Pigs, and Thank you for a lovely meal! We will return for future family celebration meals!

Bring your burgers back! I have always told people, I know its a barbeque restaurant, but if you want the best burger around go to Three Li’l Pigs. I did a take out order recently. They said they changed to smash burgers. They were 2 thin patties on a bun. I ordered well done, one was completely pink! It was take out, so I didn’t even bother going back. My son was very disappointed as well. I hope they bring the old burger menu back. Very authentic tasting thick burgers. Im not sure why people always try to fix what isn’t broken. I came here when I wanted a great burger as Im not a barbeque fan.
Im very disappointed that this part of the menu changed.
