This coffee shop is located near my home, and I have to say, they have the best plain croissant in the area!
One great thing to note is that if you are military and have a valid military ID, you can get a 10% discount, but you must show your ID at checkout.
The shop offers a huge selection of hot and cold drinks, including various coffee options. However, I did have one unpleasant experience. One time, I ordered a coffee, and without asking, they added cinnamon, which I am allergic to. Luckily, I noticed the smell, opened the lid, and saw the cinnamon before drinking it. I was quite upset about this, but overall, it didn’t ruin my impression of the place because the staff is always very polite and attentive, which is something I truly appreciate.
On weekends, the shop gets very busy, so you might have to wait in line. However, the employees do their best to serve everyone as quickly as possible while still giving each customer proper attention.
There is also a wide selection of desserts, but personally, I find all the sweet pastries too sugary for my taste. I wish they had less sugar in their baked goods. That’s why my go-to choice is always the plain croissant!
If you find yourself near Savannah and are the type to hunt down quality local coffee spots while traveling, then make sure Three Lemons Café in Richmond Hill is on your list. Nestled right next to a popular breakfast joint, this cheerful café delivers more than just a good cup of coffee—it offers a full experience.
Atmosphere & Aesthetic
As soon as you walk in, the name Three Lemons makes perfect sense. The décor leans heavily into its citrus theme, with yellow walls, lemon accents, and a bright, inviting modern farmhouse feel. Think whites, grays, soft wood tones, and pops of sunny yellow. The space is cozy but spacious enough to accommodate those who want to settle in with a laptop or hold a casual meeting—there’s even a side room that looks ideal for private gatherings or business chats over coffee.
Service That Stands Out
What truly elevated the experience for me was the exceptional customer service. Natalie, Emma, and Morgan were warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable. They asked thoughtful questions—if I was local, if I wanted a loyalty card, and where I was headed next. It wasn’t just small talk—it felt like genuine hospitality, something that’s increasingly rare these days.
I let them know that I often try out local coffee spots while traveling and shared my preference for less sugary drinks. They were quick to explain their flavoring process (only two pumps of flavor syrup per drink) and recommended their caramel vanilla latte—a signature drink that blends vanilla into their caramel syrup for a unique twist. While it was a touch sweet for my personal taste (I prefer a bolder, more bitter brew), I can say with confidence that most folks will find it perfectly balanced and smooth.
Coffee, Pastries & Experience
The caramel vanilla latte was well-crafted and flavorful. If you’re not into ultra-sweet, just ask them to tone it down a notch, and I’m sure they’ll accommodate. My daughter also grabbed a pastry, and she was all smiles. They had a solid selection of baked goods that looked fresh and inviting—perfect for pairing with your drink of choice.
Final Thoughts
Three Lemons Café offers more than just coffee—it delivers atmosphere, friendliness, and a local charm that’s hard to beat. Whether you’re just passing through Richmond Hill or staying in the Savannah area, this is a must-visit spot. The attention to service, coupled with a solid drink and food lineup, makes it a place worth returning to.
Rating: 5 / 5
✔️ Great service
✔️ Inviting atmosphere
✔️ Solid coffee and treats
✔️ Ideal for travelers and locals alike
Would absolutely recommend—and can’t wait to stop by again next time I’m in town.
This isn’t an occasional issue, it’s a pattern. I regularly purchase gift cards here for my clients, but it’s getting harder to justify recommending a business when I can’t reliably walk in and buy a pastry myself.
Clearly the demand is there, but the lack of product later in the day makes this an unreliable stop. I hope management addresses this, because it used to be a great spot.
