A couple of friends and I decided to come to Three Dollar Cafe after another not particularly busy spot closer to us didn’t even acknowledge us for nearly 20 mins after we were directed to our seats. Here, we were seated, ordered our drinks and our food within the 1st 10 minutes. Karen V, our waitress, was attentive and made sure to check on us frequently. Wasn’t much “atmosphere” but the food and service made it well worth the visit. The Shrimp Po’ Boy and fries that I ordered was hot, fresh and prepared to my expectations. Job very well done by all.

The manager needs a lesson in customer service.. the menu says one thing but they charge another. Tater Tots is listed under regular sides but they want to charge $1 extra if you want instead of fries. Idc about paying extra if it’s something I really want but they’re both potatoes fried.. be for real. He was so rude talking about it comes from corporate but his snappy attitude told me it was coming from him because he could’ve allowed it, but he chose to lose business instead. Oh and the host was just eating chicken wings at the host stand/register right there for guests to see.. how gross & unsanitary. NGL I-C-E needs to come back and check this place out ASAP

We came tonight for the second time as we love the fried mushrooms. My boyfriend loves the mango harbingers. I ordered the fish tacos, they are so delicious. The first visit, i ordered the Cajun chicken pasta. The food is really good!

Emerson, our waiter, was so much fun! He was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The food was good but my margarita tasted like water. I ended up switching my next drink to just liquor and lime juice because there’s no way a Texas margarita that costed close to $18 shouldn’t taste like anything or give any kind of buzz. My friend said her drink was pure juice as well. She ordered a flavored margarita.

I visited 3 Dollar Cafe recently and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience with both the service and how a simple issue was handled.
I ordered a margarita, and when it was brought to me, the rim was completely covered in Tajín, with additional seasoning sprinkled throughout the drink. Nowhere on the menu did it say that the margarita came this way, and when I ordered, my server didn’t mention or ask for my preference for the rim (salt, sugar, Tajín, or none).
When I saw the drink, I immediately and politely asked if it could be remade with either a sugar rim or no rim at all, since I hadn’t taken a sip yet. The waitress told me that the only way I could get a new drink was if I paid for another one — even though I hadn’t touched the first and wasn’t informed of the Tajín in advance.
To make sure I wasn’t missing something, I asked to see the menu, and sure enough, there was no mention of Tajín or any rim option listed. When I pointed that out and asked to speak to a manager, I was told after waiting 15–20 minutes that the manager had left and there was no one available — this was in the middle of the afternoon during game day, with plenty of customers arriving.
I then asked if I could simply order a different drink and have the margarita removed from my tab, which the server agreed to. However, when my new drink arrived, it was poorly made and tasted terrible. At that point, I couldn’t tell whether they thought I was trying to get a free drink (which was not the case — I was more than willing to pay for what I ordered correctly) or if they just didn’t care about the quality anymore.
Overall, the experience felt dismissive and unprofessional. The lack of communication, unwillingness to correct a simple mistake, and the absence of management during a busy time were all major red flags. I left extremely dissatisfied and, unfortunately, will not be returning to this location.

It was not bad. I personally think (just my opinion) that servers should know whats in the dressings or etcetc…asked a few questions and said idk but its green or idk but… … i rather hear let me find out for u. Because i like to eat out and i have allergies so its crucial to have staff know… sm amnt of chicken. Chicken was so delicious. Thought western or salads like this had corn but everyone makes them diff. From vid looks just enough, i shouldve took a side view vid, the lettuce was pilled high which is good but compared to chicken.
They didNOT have Gluten-free bread to try the infamous fish sandwich and they didnt have corn tortilla to try the taco. Not much GF friendly.

I’m on a strict diet, but this place had food options for myself and the person I went with. It’s good if you’re going with a mix of dietary restrictions. The servers have a team effort so there’s constantly someone checking on you. The environment has a chill vibe.
