Wow. Best chocolate EVER hands down. The staff were extremely welcoming! I loved the fact they showed what cows’ milk was used in the days chocolate. It was so cute. I’ve had about half of my chocolate so far and absolutely LOVE it. It’s worth making a trip here and experiencing what real food production is like. I wish there were more havens like this.

Far but worth the trip!
Loved seeing the cows and their new baby Dan, so adorable.
We bought a lot of the dark chocolate, their fresh whole milk and vanilla.
The attentive lady at the register made some suggestions and let us taste the caramel candy that was so delicious, fresh and soft.
We got to see the ladies(cows) that were in the stable relaxing from their hard work.
I really enjoyed visiting.

My date took me to a unique spot in Litchfield County, and it ended up being such a sweet surprise. The chocolate-and-milk farm was the perfect place to visit on a warm November Saturday. The milk farmer was incredibly kind, and his wife is a true chocolate specialist who uses only the milk from their own dairy. I definitely plan to go back and pick up some of their chocolate for Christmas gifts.

Very small, local dairy farm and chocolate maker. You can get a variety of treats made on location with milk from their cows. Milk is also available for purchase. They will ship products all over the world. You can also visit the cows in the barn. Tours are offered in the summer, which we plan to do next year. Chocolate was excellent!

So many amazing things about this place. The chocolates were absolutely incredible! The venue itself was beautiful and it was so great to see the happy cows! This place belongs in Hallmark movie! You can see the animals inside and there are signs to let you know who supplied the milk that day. The store itself is pretty tiny, with a nice selection of chocolates, milk, and other treats. Its family owned and the owner helped us with our chocolate selection. She was very friendly and we could see why this place was such a hit. You must stop here and try the chocolates, they are delicious!

Was planning our quick weekend New England fall trip and found out about this place from an IG influencer (Helene Sula). I made sure to find time to stop here because c’mon CHOCOLATE. So glad we did. We were driving through the backstreets in each town so not sure how close to any main highway it is. It’s a beautiful farm with their lovely cows providing the milk to make the most delicious vanilla milk and chocolates ever. Don’t be too surprised as the lot is big, but the shop is cozy. The employee was very friendly and helpful in giving us advice on choosing which truffles to try (they change every day).Needless to say we bought some truffles, a small vanilla milk, and enough chocolate bark (or so we thought) to indulge in. Should’ve bought more chocolate. Everything is super delicious.

This dairy farm is known to produce high quality chocolates which they create in house using the milk from their cows. They emphasize on treating their cows with respect and dignity. They’re allowed to free roam and are hormone free. There is a small parking lot and the chocolate shop is very intimate and cozy. The employees were friendly too. You’re able to peak into the dairy barn and see the cows too.
There are a variety of chocolatea to choose from; from truffles, chocolate bars, caramel, and more. They have won multiple awards for their chocolate. They also offer private tours and chocolate tastings. I purchased a box of 9 assorted chocolates and two white chocolate lollipops. The chocolates were expensive but worth it. They tasted fresh and creamy, up there with the best chocolates I’ve had. I highly recommend a visit!

Expensive, but well worth the price! Thorncrest is a great place to stop by for some fresh milk and delicious chocolate candy after a local hike. Next time we’ll visit between Thursday and Sunday to get up close with the cows. Do yourself a favor and indulge your taste buds. You’ll thank me later. Five tasty stars!

It goes without saying that Thorncrest Farm and Milk House is about as authentic as you can get from farm to consumer. The quality ingredients attention to detail and high level of customer service and pride that the employees and owner take in this business truly stand out. On a recent visit we opted for a dark chocolate with habanero and salt which was delicious with just hint of spiciness. We also purchased a gallon of milk that we use to make some of the most delicious ice cream at home. The truffles and flavors were the highlight of the trip. It is well worth a drive to Thorncrest Farm and Milk House you won’t be disappointed.
