I moved to Illinois from Florida 7 years ago, and this is the first BBQ joint I’ve been to since then that hasn’t been a disappointment. Finally! I’m also 4 months pregnant, and I’ve been craving some good BBQ! I ordered to-go, and got the pulled pork sandwich, and a side of the baked beans. It truly is southern style, you can really taste the wood smoked flavor. The place looked kinda shady, since most of the place is under construction. But I wouldn’t let that deter you.
The only down side- they could’ve packaged the to-go items better. The sandwich was on top of the fries in one of those hot-dog paper basket things (which made some of the fries kinda soggy), and then placed in an paper bag. A to-go box would’ve been better, but I guess it’s not that big a deal. I’ll still be going back.

My favorite barbecue in the area. The atmosphere is pretty cool inside, especially since they expanded it a bit. I usually get the pulled pork with fries. If you’re tired of burgers give this place a shot. The food is reasonably priced and the portions are decent, plus the sauce is great. I have a few friends in the area that also love this place

The pulled pork is awesome! The spicy BBQ sauce is delicious. Portions are generous. Rib tips are great. Rolls of paper towels lol. Really focused on the food unlike other places. Cool atmosphere, alot of cool Alabama stuff. Been here a few times and will keep on going. A+

I tried this place a few times hoping it would improve. I was disappointed each time. Service: seems like I was interrupting their nap. No smile, no enthusiasm. Just a blank stare.
For not being busy it takes a long time to create an order.
The food was average at best. Most items are over cooked – heated in microwave. Appears they purchase frozen rather than fresh meats. Sides are all low quality – perhaps to keep price down. Portions are decent but since nothing tastes good you wont want to finish anyway. Based on the quality I would expect the price to be even lower.
If you dream of the mcribb returning then this may be a place for you.

Thomas’s BBQ is good considering the BBQ choices in the Midwest. Being a native Southerner Thomas’s BBQ is one of the most authentic BBQ places in the Aurora/Naperville area. I gave 4 stars because of their hours of operation on weekends. I have gone on a Saturday and posted hours on door a shows they should be open, but door is locked… Maybe call ahead if going on a Saturday evening.. save the time by checking to see if they are open first.

OMG! I enjoyed my rib tips. The sauce is great and the tips tender. YUM. So glad to have a place I can go. I thought I was in Chicago lol. Keep the good work up. I would like to know why are Bbq places closed on Monday? I got my ribs yesterday. .

I passed through this place probably hundred times never paid attention till I caught the whiff of smoke flavors coming from this place. Walked in and ordered medium bucket of rib tips (don’t judge me) i know I’m a pig when it comes to ribs but that bucket can feed 4 like me. Good flavors, good atmosphere, good people

I was excited to know that finally a BBQ was close to home. My main interes was rib tips, they are ok too many hard ends maybe bad batch dont know but it does have a pretty good taste other than that.

The smells and tastes were there but the textures were off for me. Nice decor, what you’d expect from a Bama style BBQ joint. The location/plaza is off the beaten path so I needed to be wow’d coming here and I wasn’t.

We walk in with the family at 3:50pm and look up towards the menu and the lady says to us “Uum we’re closed!” Imagine my surprise as we explain to her that the time says that you close at five and she repeats to us that they’re closed then further goes on as we look at each other walking out the door saying “we ran out of food!” *ARE YOU SERIOUS! This is a place of business and this isn’t the first time we’ve been offsides with this place. Another time was when she stood in our face and fully explained how the holiday ordering goes and when we came back about placing the order she changed up the entire thing. Also that nonchalant attitude being given to us as customers is a little broad and unbecoming. We’ve tried with you all enough and have decided to just stick with Famous Daves or grab tips and other Barbeque items from the city. We’ve had it with this place.
