From their dosas and idlis to the spicy, aromatic curries and filter coffee, everything here reflects real South Indian taste. The service is friendly, the portions are generous, and the quality consistently impresses.
If you want a genuine Tamil Nadu dining experience that you won’t easily find elsewhere, Thiru Kuppusamy is absolutely worth the visit.
Fantastic food, everything very fresh. We had weekend special unlimited meals, everything including the appetizers, Chicken briyani and crispy flaky parottas were unlimited.
Mutton, Fish and Chicken currys were excellent.
Outstanding service, their hospitality was truly amazing.
Will definitely visit again!!!
The dosa came out gorgeous: a perfect golden roll with a glossy, flawless arch. It was crispy enough to hold its shape yet still had thicker, fluffy sections toward the center. The edges were especially shatteringly thin. Flavorwise, it was delectably toasty with a subtle pleasant tang. Tomato chutney was amazing but coconut chutney was a bit undersalted. The sambar was really great: a thicker consistency and with plenty of vegetables.
Service was very attentive, maybe even a bit overly so at times. There was also a birthday celebration going on and we were given a small piece of cake. What a sweet way to close out the meal, both literally and figuratively.
I went in with a lot of expectations because this place is hyped up, but honestly the experience was frustrating from start to finish- mainly because of the food.
First, the unlimited thali concept felt misleading. If you’re advertising unlimited non-veg thali with items like chicken curry, mutton curry, and fish curry, then customers should actually receive the dish properly. When I asked for meat curry, they served me almost all gravy with just one bone piece. And this was literally my first time asking, it’s not like I had already taken multiple refills. It honestly felt like cheating, not “unlimited.” If you can’t serve the meat properly, then please remove it from the menu instead of misleading customers.
On top of that, the white rice was half-cooked, which made the whole meal even worse.
Taste-wise, no offense at all to Tamil cuisine (I genuinely love South Indian food), but this didn’t taste like authentic Tamil food to me. I understand spice levels are adjusted for local USA people’s standards, but even then, the flavors were just not there. It’s really not worth the hype or the price.
Now coming to the overall experience- the place doesn’t look great considering the prices, and the seating situation was uncomfortable. There was no curtain or proper coverage near the restrooms, and I was seated right beside it, constantly watching people coming and going.
Service was also messy. I don’t fully blame the staff, because the unlimited thali idea itself seems poorly planned. Since everyone orders the same thing, the staff stays overwhelmed, and no one comes to check on you. I had to call them multiple times, and even then they came after 10 minutes. If I asked for a specific dish, it took another 10 minutes or sometimes it didn’t come at all.
The place was also extremely crowded and rushed, which made the whole experience even more stressful.
Overall, I’d say this is a one-time visit only, just to experience it and understand the hype, but I personally would not visit again or recommend it.
We had an amazing experience at Kuppuswamy Restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious and full of authentic Kongu flavors. We tried the Chicken Pallipalayam, Kongu Mutton Biryani, Parota with Mutton Curry, and Kanyakumari Fish – every single dish was flavorful, fresh, and perfectly cooked. The spices and taste felt very homely and traditional.
A special mention to Madhan, who explained each item so well and helped us choose the best dishes. He was very friendly, welcoming, and made our dining experience even better.
Great food, great service, and a warm atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic South Indian non-veg dishes. Will definitely visit again!
