The food was amazing, and the pizza was next level fresh out of the oven and absolutely delicious. You can really taste the quality. The service was wonderful too.
This was our first visit and we loved it so much that we came back again. The second time the service was different, but still very good. The atmosphere is wow, the service is wow, the food is so, so good, and everything came out fast.
Definitely a place worth coming back to!

This is my third time visiting The Thirsty Turtle, and they never cease to amaze me. Dante is hands down my favorite server — consistently attentive, professional, and friendly. I’ve also interacted with the manager a few times, and each experience has been absolutely phenomenal. Every visit delivers great food and outstanding service without exception. Amazing food, amazing service, every single time. I would choose this restaurant over any other local option in the area without hesitation. Highly recommend.

First time here and it was a good experience. Got there around 5:30 on a Friday night and it was already jumpin’. Sat in a booth and ordered a Classic Cosmo for my drink which was made strong and not watered down like other restaurant drinks I’ve had. For my meal I got 2 appetizers to try out: the Buffalo Chicken Egg Rolls & the Sea Bites. Both were pretty good and cooked well. My date got the TTT burger which he subsituted the fries for onion rings for an extra $1.49 which he enjoyed, I took a bite of it and thought it was ok. Not the best burger I’ve ever had, but certainly not the worst either. Overall our first time here was good and I would be back again to try out the pizza, sushi and of course one of those other drinks 😉

Checked out this place before heading to a Ironpigs game. They inside has a lot of seating and full bar if you like to drink. The menu was huge with lots of appetizers choices. I tried out the turkey burger and chicken dumplings both which were very good and filled me up. Most burger do come with fries also. If you’re in the area stop and give it a try. Our waitress Amy did a wonderful job trying to keep up with all her tables.

Thirsty Turtle Tavern is a restaurant, bar, and pizzeria located on Grape St. in Whitehall. They are open Sun – Thu 11AM – 11PM and Fri – Sat 11AM – 12AM.
The menu offers a unique twist on traditional pub dining. While you’ll find classic favorites like wings and burgers, the restaurant also features tavern style pizzas and sushi.
My friends and I dropped in for the first time last Thursday. Overall, it was a mixed experience. Some of the dishes were well executed and enjoyable, while others fell short of expectations.
We started with Chipotle honey tavern wings, Wisconsin cheese curds, and nachos. I also had a crock of French onion soup. The wings were sweet, crispy, and easily the standout. The cheese curds were decent but slightly under-fried. The nachos were awful, with barely any toppings and mostly crushed, bottom of the bag chips. The French onion soup was hot, flavorful, and topped with onion straws.
After the appetizers I moved onto the BBQ pulled pork mac & cheese. It’s made with a five cheese sauce, macaroni, pulled pork, and seasoned breadcrumbs. While it sounded promising, the flavors didn’t quite come together. It was decent, but not something I’d order again.
One of my friends ordered the chicken vodka dream, a much better choice than mine. The hand breaded cutlet, homemade vodka sauce, fresh mozzarella, and pesto made for an awesome sandwich. The sweet potato fries were undercooked and bland, but the sandwich more than made up for it.
Service was great overall. Tyler was attentive and very helpful with the menu, and the manager checked in a few times, which is always appreciated. The only downside was timing. Appetizers took awhile, and entrees followed almost immediately after.
Pickup is available, but there is no delivery. Happy hour is Mon – Fri 3PM – 6PM.

We had a great evening at The Thirsty Turtle in Whitehall! The atmosphere has a trendy tavern feel, with stylish noir and wood decor, cozy lighting, and TVs visible from every seat in the bar area—perfect for catching a game or just relaxing. There’s even outdoor seating, and we noticed a guest with a dog, so they may be pet-friendly, which is a huge plus. Parking was easy with a spacious free lot.
We tried a variety of dishes: the TT Trio appetizer was enjoyable, while the Sea Bites had a batter that was a bit too salty and heavily sauced, which overpowered the flavor of the seafood. That said, the pizzas really stood out—both the four-cheese and a custom version with goat cheese, bacon, and blistered cherry tomatoes were fantastic and came out at just the right time. The rainbow sushi roll was a pleasant surprise—fresh, well-presented, and clearly made with care. The Cuban sandwich wasn’t traditional, but it was absolutely delicious, especially with the seasoned fries on the side.
Service was friendly, though just okay given how busy the place was. Still, we felt welcomed and comfortable throughout the meal. Overall, we had a positive experience and do plan to return. It’s a solid spot for a casual night out with good food and great vibes.

The place has very good food and I truly believe it has a lot of potential. However, the service was very disappointing. The restaurant states that it closes at 11 PM, and we arrived before 10 PM. The hostess let us know that we had about 15 minutes to place a food order, which we appreciated, and we placed our order in less than 5 minutes.
Our server, however, seemed upset when she realized we were ordering food, and from that moment on, the experience declined. She ignored us throughout the evening, and when she brought our plates, she placed them down in a dismissive manner. Even when we thanked her, she did not respond.
We also noticed her arguing with the hostess, who had told us it was still okay to order. After that, she focused on cleaning the bar and the area around us, even while we were still seated, which made us feel unwelcome.
I’ve worked in customer service for a long time, and I understand how much reviews can impact a business, so it’s disappointing to have to write this. But I also know how important service is, especially when we are paying for a dining experience. The food is wonderful, but the service needs serious improvement.

Everytime I come here I am greeted with smiling faces and always have a wonderful time. This time in particular I had the whole family along (which is chaotic with 3 kids) but again I was treated with kindness and efficiency the whole time. Julia was our server and she didn’t even have to write down our orders and she got everything correct! Amazing for a family of 6! This is and will always be my favorite place to eat!

My mom and I went out to lunch here today and we are so impressed! The food was amazing. I got the BBQ bacon burger (subbed grilled chicken) and she got the chicken vodka dream sandwich. Both were delicious and would reorder! Our waitress, Emily, was the best! So kind and attentive, overall a sweet and bubbly girl! Will definitely request her again. We really enjoyed our visit!
