This is our new go to when in the Gun Lake area! Its a great place to come with friends, family or just a date night. Drinks are good- really enjoyed the Julies Old fashion and the martinis went down smooth! Fire roasted pizza really good but the beef short ribs were awesome! We also enjoyed watching pickle ball matches from the outside patio! To top it off the night they brought out marshmallows to roast on a flame- perfect touch for summer night!

• First time here but we’ll be back. Open less than a week, but they’ve got their act together. Limited menu: apps, soups & salads, a nice selection of wood-fired pizza, 5 entrees, dessert. One interesting note is that it is adults-only, no one under 18, which I like.

I ordered the Truffle Mushroom Pizza and I was not let down, it was so yummy with the wood fire taste and the toppings… yummmmm. My husband ordered the Shrimp Penne… that was really good too, big shrimp and good flavor. As an appetizer we got Cajun shrimp dip with homemade pita chips (those were the bomb) most excellent. Will deff be back.

Our kids have VBS this week, since Thirsty Buddy is 18+ the hubby and I took the opportunity to have a date night. I got the Maui Wowie pizza and my husband got the Meat Lovers. For drinks I had the dragonberry mohito and my husband had a coffee martini. Our food and drinks both were really good. The restaurant is clean and the decor is upscale. Our server was nice and helpful, he checked on us enough but not too much which I like. Good food nice atmosphere.

Winner, winner! What a great spot for a wonderful meal! Had a fantastic dinner and our server Julie was amazing! My wife had the half chicken which she said rivals any restaurant in the greater GR area. I had the chicken pesto wood fired pizza that was the bomb! The restaurant is beautifully furnished and the service was A+.

Only ate here once. Owner was yelling at waitstaff. Table next to us was very intoxicated (to the point that one of the gentleman walked into the woman’s bathroom) and obnoxious the entire evening affecting all the tables around us. Turned out to be the owners table.

I had the Half Chicken for dinner and a Julie’s Old Fashion to drink. The chicken was cooked to perfection, the flavor permeated every bite, I didn’t plan on eating the whole thing as the portion size was looking like I’d have leftovers, but before I knew it I ate the whole thing. Would highly recommend Thirsty Buddy and the Half Chicken, the drinks were well made and happen to be reasonably priced. The staff is excellent, and once again amazing food!

Am I the only one who chuckles at this business name of Thirsty Buddy? I guess it made somewhat sense back when there was a dog in the logo but now it is just comical to me with the black & gold TB. Anyways, the pizza was fine but nothing great that you could not find at a million other places (for a better price). The “charcuterie board” is a disgrace to what real charcuterie is and the female owner came off as extremely pretentious & disagreeable. We will not be going back to Thirsty Buddy but thank-you for the laughs at least!

We have been to Thirsty Buddy of Gun Lake several times. The ambiance is fabulous and we have enjoyed the live entertainment! The service we were given was top-notch as was the food and adult beverages. We are very fortunate to have such a classy, five-star place to gather with family and friends!
