Third Rail Saloon, where do I begin?
With the aesthetic, which makes you feel like you’re stepping straight into the wild west, reconstructed out of an old train station – where if you’re lucky, you’ll get to watch today’s trains go by in real time through a big picture window while you’re enjoying a drink at the bar? With the ordering style that is no nonsense and straight to the point? With the food – ribs so meaty, tender, and flavorful that just covering up the natural, smoky flavor with sauce feels like a crime – the bison sloppy joe, which was the best modern take on a sloppy joe I’ve ever experienced and a literal flavor explosion in the mouth – the bison chili, that was second best only to my mom’s – the pulled pork and the chopped brisket, both fantastic in their own right and so good you might just order another one? (Mansour did. ) Even the baked beans and garlic toast will have you craving more.
Folks, even the bathroom is cool in this place. (And yes, that matters. ) When somebody puts this much thought and detail into every facet of their restaurant, you can’t help but fall in love. 10/10 vibes, 10/10 food, 10/10 staff. This is hands down some of the best BBQ I’ve ever had (and I’ve had BBQ at A LOT of different places around the country). I’m so stoked to be adding this into our normal rotation. If you’ve been sleeping on Third Rail, stop now, and don’t forget to tell them who sent you.

BEST restaurant in the whole area. Hands down one of the most DELICIOUS food we have ever tried in OH. The briskets were to die for. The Carolina Mustard Sauce is HEAVEN. The people that owns it and work here are super friendly and treat you like a family. The whole atmosphere is very welcoming and feels like you went back in time with all the vintage furniture and games all around the place. We got to watch a train pass by while eating. Great place for kids who are big on trains. Can’t recommend it enough! Will definitely be back here AGAIN!

This place is a hidden Gem. Food was fantastic. We sat outside and watched the trains fly by. We ordered the sampler and was not disappointed. People are very friendly in the area and everyone smiles. If you are looking I highly recommend!!

My wife and I stumbled across this hidden gem. They specialize in smoked meats that are awesome. We had a combination platter of the smoke meat and incredible soup. The owner and Chris were supper friendly and nice. I highly recommend you stop for food and a beverage. The building is an old train station that was converted into this establishment.

We went here today for the first time and loved the place. I had a brisket sandwich and my wife the fried bologna which were excellent. The owner was our waiter who was very friendly and appreciative…he even showed us his smoker setup. We also enjoyed the history of this old train station. If it the area give it a try!

Was there for the first time last Saturday night 10/25/25 for dinner and was very impressed with this place! The food and atmosphere here was amazing! For dinner I had the BBQ ribs with baked beans and coleslaw and was one of the best I’ve ever had. John the owner and his wife do a great job running it. Inside there is lots of railroad memorabilia on the walls of the old depot and the NS Chicago line is right outside! So if you like trains or just want a great meal this is the place to go! Most definitely will be back.

Third rail saloon is a really cool place to visit and eat. The ribs were very good. Some of the best I’ve had in a long time. The smoked wings were also tasty. It’s also really cool to walk around to the back where there is more seating as well as a pool table and dart board. Staff was kind, and the atmosphere was fabulous
