I have visited Third Place several times, sincerely hoping to see an improvement in the experience, but I can no longer overlook the consistent issues.
I am generally hesitant to leave negative feedback for local establishments, but I believe it is important for the Brookville community to have an accurate expectation of what is being offered here.
Despite the premium price point, the food has been consistently uninspired and fails to meet the standard one would expect for the cost. This lack of value is unfortunately compounded by the service; on multiple occasions, I found staff’s attitude to be dismissive and unprofessional.
However, it seems this dismissiveness is a direct reflection of poor management rather than the staff themselves. This environment significantly detracts from the overall experience.
Furthermore, the live music—while a great concept—has proven to be lackluster and deficient in quality during my visits. It is disappointing when a local venue has such potential but fails to deliver on the basics of hospitality and value.
While the concept of Third Place may initially seem like a compelling choice for a local outing, it ultimately falls short.
Given the variety of alternative dining and entertainment options available within Brookville and the surrounding area, there are numerous establishments that offer a superior value, service, and atmosphere.
Until MAJOR improvements are made, these neighboring venues remain more reliable choices for a high-quality experience.

Third place is a nice place to go and get a drink and talk to friends and other people or just sit and listen to some good music while having a small meal. My wife and I had the buffet and two alcoholic drinks.

For my taste the food is too spicy ️ but that’s just me. Service was good and friendly, the beer was cold and the music was good. If you like country style that’s a good place. They don’t open everyday

Had a wedding reception there. Shared the food bar with other customers was told we would have our own food bar. Staff worked hard to make us comfortable.

I came on a Thursday night for the first time with high hopes of delicious pizza. Guess what it was phenomenal! I really loved the freshness of everything on the buffet. The meatballs were scrumptious and the salad crisp and amazing. If this were not enough, Chris made the place even more memorable with pleasant conversation and a real sense of joy. I cannot wait to go again!

Food was incredibly greasy and chewy. I was expecting it to be a bit different because their mobile station is really good. Service was a bit slow but polite. The bartender messed up my drink despite it being a relatively simple drink I make at home. Place could be nicer if they had a more welcoming atmosphere. The place is definitely geared towards the business class rather than the working class.
