I had dinner @Thikanaa with my family on Thursday night and got a lovely experience with service, atmosphere and food. I feel their Vada-pav is best in Bristol. Restaurant attendants- Chahat and Aruna were very quick, positive and friendly all the time which is a very important quality for eateries. Atmosphere is quite nice and clean and most importantly, what touched my emotions was the Maharashtrian touch used in interior decor. श्री छत्रपतीं शिवाजी महाराजांनी मूर्ती, Mumbai-Pune portrayals on one wall and another wall full of paintings of the Indian great personalities such as Sachin Tendulkar, Rajanikant sir, MSD, Virat etc. Full nostalgia! I would highly recommend this place to foodies of all type!

Incredible hidden gem. Lovely owner and the food is incredible. Easily some of the best Indian food I’ve had and so lucky to have it in Southmead. Highly recommend the Thali and Biryani, great value for money.

Wonderful indian street food and main course in decent prices. Bristol needed such an authentic Indian taste restaurant. They even offer Buy 1 Get 1 on different items on different days. We liked the desi chicken curry naan and chole bhature and samosa chat.

Decided to visit Thikanaa on our anniversary, and they went above and beyond to make it memorable for us! The food was delicious and authentic, it transferred me back to my hometown Pune and made me think of home, the service was amazing. We had a great time and will be visiting again soon!

We love the street food here. It is fantastic.

However, something has changed.
Prices have rocketed – £8 for an egg fried rice … why?????

Also they have changed the menu to align with other typically British Indian styled restaurants. These curries were not good. My dhansak had no lentils and was not authentic. Very poor.

Please revert to the previous menu, the street food menu. Please also consider your prices, they are not justifiable anymore.

Sorry!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Trikanaa, and it was an absolutely delightful experience! The food was exceptional—rich, flavorful, and perfectly spiced and reminded us of home made cooking. Each dish we tried was better than the last, showcasing a true mastery of Indian cuisine.

The service was outstanding. Our server was attentive, friendly, and the owner who was super friendly made excellent recommendations. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it the perfect place to enjoy a meal with friends.

Overall, Trikanaa exceeded all our expectations, and I can’t wait to return. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an authentic and memorable dining experience!

Not very often one gets to taste the authentic Indian food in UK which is value for money. After Crispy Dosa Bristol, we’re so glad to have found another in Thikanaa.
As mentioned in other reviews, their staff has left no stone unturned to cater Indian street food the way it should be. In particular, their vada pav can’t be missed on any visit to this restaurant. The veg hakka noodles were delicious as well.
Looking forward to try other items from their menu on our subsequent visits. Seriously hoping they maintain the standards they’ve set out so far.

We ordered 80 Vada Pavs and Paneer Chilly for an office event from Thikana — and the food was incredibly delicious! Authentic Indian flavours, fresh, perfectly balanced spices and everyone genuinely enjoyed it.

We are already regular customers, but after this event I am pretty sure many more people from our office will now start going to Thikana too.

The owner and staff are super friendly, warm and very helpful.

Overall one of the best snack places in Bristol. Highly recommended — definitely try it!
