The food was phenomenal, I actually pinned this restaurant quite a while ago already but never really had the time to come eat. The bun bo hue was THE BEST. Honestly a very good bun bo and the flavor was rich and deep but not really spicy so perfect for people who cant handle spice that well but if you want to add more spice to it, there is some chili paste you can add but fyi dont add too much since it was very spicy The shrimp spring rolls were also very good, herby and hearty honestly a perfect pairing with the bun bo to keep you full. I recommend this place to try out.

I visited this restaurant for my birthday meal with my family. The dishes are freshly made so that they’re delicious. My parents
really love nem nuong’s dip a lot. Although the area are quite tiny, the quality of meal is awesome.

Fried rice was a huge portion – enough to share! Salt coffee was great, not exactly like in Vietnam but good in it’s own right. Banh Mi chicken was great, but next time I’d ask without chillis. Great place overall, chill and I’d come again☺️

Very good Pho. We were looking for something a bit more soothing for dinner and came to this restaurant. We both got a set of rare beef pho and 2 salad rolls. The price is very good and we were very satisfied after our meal.

My wife and I stumbled upon this authentic Vietnamese gem walking through Ruamchok Mall. Lots of parking around here. It’s a petite eatery with 6 tables, each seating about 4 people. All the food is super flavourful with fresh ingredients being used. My favourite dishes have definitely been the chicken banh mi & coconut coffee. I travel from Saraphi to get his every weekend!

Personally, I feel that it’s not exactly the same Vietnamese cuisine I had in Hanoi or Da Lat….. The chili is not quite the right kind, neither is the lemon. The good part is that it’s air-conditioned and the soup itself is refreshing.

I looove this place. Everything is so tasty!! Today I got the fried rice and chicken with an omelette for some added protein. The service is always fast and friendly. Don’t forget to get a coconut coffee and thank me later! Great place to eat after a great massage at Sun Bamboo next door. Walk over to the indoor AND/OR outdoor markets for fresh fruit after.

Nice enough Vietnamese restaurant for Chiang Mai. Not many Vietnamese restaurants in town. So choice and options are limited.
Prices and service were great. Will try other dishes soon. Worth a visit…

This review was written back in May 2024.

Came to check this place out because of the good reviews that mentioned how authentic this place is.

My husband had Beef (well-done) Pho and I had Chicken Pho. The Beef Pho was very good. The broth is flavorful and doesn’t requite any additional seasoning unless you enjoy adding lime or some tangy and spicy Siracha chilli sauce to your noodle soup.

My Chicken Pho wasn’t very good for the reason that the shredded chicken was very dry and didn’t have much flavor, although the broth is equally good as the Beef broth.

I order my Chicken Pho Set that comes with Pork (Fresh) Spring Roll. The rice sheet that they use to wrap the fresh rolls are, like other reviews mentioned, thicker than what’s used at other places, so the rolls don’t fall apart after taking a bite. We love the salty peanut sauce with slight amount of sweetness in it, which is very different from a typical peanut dipping sauce served in many other Vietnamese restaurant. The Pork Belly Fresh Roll taste a bit strong for my liking though.

Shrimp Fresh Spring Rolls, on the other hand is better. They came with big shrimps inside.
All the veggies that came with the dishes are very fresh and crunchy.

We ordered Vietnamese Pork Pancake to go, and it was quite big and tasty. The Vietnamese fish sauce that came with the pancake was excellent with the right balance between sweetness and saltiness.

Our first experience eating here was lovely, so we decided to come back to try other dish. I also enjoy the Grilled Pork Vermicelli Salad with (Fried) Chicken Spring Roll.

The quantity was good and this dish is full of flavor. Their Grilled Pork do taste a bit similar to Sai Oua (Northern Thai Sausage) with lemongrass flavor. The sweet fish sauce accompanying this dish tastes similar to the sauce given for Fried Spring Rolls. Their Fried Spring Rolls are a bit too oily though.

Their drink menu is decent and not overwhelming with too many options. We tried Vietnamese coffee and asked for less condensed milk, it was good for this type of coffee, similar to traditional Thai coffee, which tastes stronger and has more distinct flavor when compared to regular iced-coffee.

The restaurant has air conditioning and there are about 7-8 tables, with casual ambience and pleasant music played in the background. The staff are also polite and pleasant to interact with.

Overall, this is one of the best Vietnamese restaurants we have been to in Chiang Mai.

Review update: Oct 2024

They have increased the price which was understandable BUT the quantity of food is also reduced a lot. Although the flavor is still good, but for the restaurant to reduce the quantity of food while also increasing the price, it feels kinda too much.

For example, this time we ordered the Beef Pho and Vermicelli dish, there were only 2 pieces of beef in Pho and just about half of the original quantity of pork in the vermicelli dish.

I’ve been to the original Thia Go location in Da Nang, and while it didn’t stand out much there due to the abundance of local Vietnamese spots, here it’s a top contender. There aren’t many Vietnamese restaurants in the area, so this one really fills the gap. Prices are a bit high compared to typical Thai local spots, but the food is solid—especially if you’re craving authentic Vietnamese flavors. I got the Banh Xeo mixed and the Pho set—both were delicious, and I’d definitely come back. Plus, it’s located in a nice plaza full of great food options.
