This place kicks ass. The best bar in town; Patrick and Lori are super cool people and very gracious hosts. They do a lot to support the music scene, and this establishment really adds a lot of flavor to Morehead. I make sure to visit whenever I’m visiting.

Played guitar with a little band called Pack Horse Librarian here, the people there were nothing but great to us. The sound equipment was great besides one of the monitors buzzing really loud. The stage is huge and gives a bunch of room to move around on. The atmosphere of this place was great. the colors and lighting were emmaculate.

The Stargazer Lounge is an amazing place, it has great drinks and even greater vibes. The staff are always so accommodating and friendly. It’s the kind of place that you can take a group of friends or go alone. They have awesome events such as live music and drag shows. Overall, it’s just a really chill place to go, hang out, and get a drink. It’s truly a safe space for everyone.

Not sure what was going on but I stood by the bar for 20 minutes without even an acknowledgement from the staff. They’re was a Wicca thing going on so they were busy. That is still no excuse for ignoring other patrons. At least let us know if we had to stand in a line . How about a sign of some sort. Wanted to like this place since they are gay friendly but service is service. And they failed miserably.

Lori and Patrick brought a great establishment to town! They make the BEST cocktails, have great prices, , great atmosphere! Just a perfect bar for Morehead! SO MUCH FUN!! If you attend Bingo night, you leave with great gifts in addition to listening to great music! They bring good bands to town!!!! Highly recommend this bar!!!!!

Extremely Disappointed – Poor Customer Service & Discrimination
I paid over $80 for a front-row VIP ticket to the Magic Hunks show at Star Gazer Lounge in Morehead, KY, expecting a great experience. I specifically asked about the VIP stage access and was told it was sold out. Minutes later, I watched a female attendee be offered and sold that same VIP access I had just requested.
It was clear I was denied simply because I’m male, which is unacceptable and discriminatory. To make things worse, the staff showed no professionalism or effort to explain or resolve the issue.
I had seen someone else leave a review calling out the venue host/owner, and now I fully agree — she is definitely not a businessperson and clearly lacks the skills to run a customer-facing business.
I’ve reached out to Magic Hunks about the incident. As a paying customer, I expect to be treated with fairness and respect — and this venue failed badly on both.

The ambiance here is amazing. The drinks are amazing. Lori and Patrick are so down to earth and fun! They have brought in some of the coolest bands that Morehead hasn’t seen the likes of in quite some time. Also, I don’t know what it is about the free popcorn but it’s pretty amazing too! And Tarantino movies! Yes please!
