We arrived a few minutes before closing and were warmly welcomed in. Everything I’ve eaten at Thelma’s has been excellent: fried chicken, hamburger steak, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, turnips, pecan pie, etc. Choose a meat and 3 sides for a generous lunch or dinner. Sweet or regular tea included.

We love trying new places on road trips. This dining experience is definitely at the top of our list. BEST PORK CHOP EVER!!! All of it was amazing. And we even got to meet Thelma in person when she came to ask us if we needed refills. Excellent service, atmosphere, and food! If you’re pulling up places on google like I was in the passenger seat, trust me this is the place to pick! ❤️

Road tripping from Nebraska and really glad we stumbled upon Thelma’s. Saturday lunch featured choice of ribs, rib tips, sausage or bbq chicken with three sides (Mac and cheese, green beans, baked beans, pasta salad). Everything had amazing flavor. Even the green beans had a little zip to them. Highly recommend for a sample of down home Mississippi!
