Established in 1984. El Dorado Hills was our first location. Thee Upper Crust Pizza was the first eating establishment to open in El Dorado Hills, Ca. In 1989, Ed and Beverly opened their 2nd location in Sacramento (Greenhaven/Pocket). In 1991 they opened their 3rd location in Downtown Sacramento (13th and K Streets). In 1992, they opened their 4th and final location in Sacramento (Greenhaven). Today; however, only the downtown location at 13th and K Streets remains open, serving the downtown community and convention goers.

Great lunch deal for a pizza buffet, They had four pizzas available (veggie, combo, pepperoni and Hawaiian) and when Hawaiian was gone put in garlic bread. They have one soup, and salad with plenty of options.

Unfortunately the buffet is not to go, so I tried a pastrami sandwich. Won’t make that mistake again, not worth 1/2 of what they charged. Plus as a ServSafe certified Food Protection Manager I know that gloves should be worn by anyone preparing ready-to-eat food. Not something I witnessed today, better correct that before an inspection!

Perfect place for a pizza with my nephews after Brickfest in the convention center. Just steps from the west entrance. They have a salad bar and pizza by the slice that looked fine, but we had a fresh pepperoni pizza made. It tasted great after walking around in the convention center for a few hours.

A small group of us ate at this location during the recent SacAnime convention. The outside and the inside of the building were clean. The staff behind the counter was friendly. We just ordered a simple, small pepperoni pizza but it was good. Decent selection of alcohol. Prices were fair. Would recommend dining here. Will definitely be the “go-to” spot for upcoming conventions when we are in the mood for pizza.
