Visiting from out of town and I love me some BBQ. So when the wife pointed out it’s a Trip DDD spot, I was down to try it.

Had the Brisket, fried pickles, cornbread and coleslaw. Haven’t found good brisket since Austin last summer. Very good here but a little on cold side. Fried pickles pretty darn good !

Very good BBQ! My family of four loved it and the pulled pork was delicious. Potato salad and coleslaw was great as well.

As is common in this town portions are laughably small for the money. Brisket came minced in a pile to appear bigger than it was, and a side of corn on the cob isn’t even half a piece of corn apparently. I shouldn’t walk away hungry after spending $15 on BBQ.

This is a good BBQ in a small town. They were featured on Diners Dives and Dives. Well worth a stop if you are in town.

Instantly knew we wanted to eat here by the smell. We smelled the BBQ from outside and even though there was a bit of a line decided to give it a try. The person that took our order assured us that the food would be quick and they did not lie. I got a “three meat dinner” with potato salad and french fries. I have to say it was for sure worth the wait. I got ribs pork and beef and they were all excellent. The potato salad was the best thing I ever tasted and reminded me of home. Other than that the service was amazing and if we ever get the chance we will for sure be coming back.

I went here for dinner on 6/28/23. I am visiting Silverton and was looking for a quick bite. I am visiting from Dallas,TX and was pleasantly surprised to see and smell a barbecue restaurant. I had the Pulled Pork sandwich with Potato Salad and a fountain drink. The pulled pork was very good with a noticeable smoky taste. Sauce was also a solid rendition of your classic “Sticky Red” type BBQ sauce. The potato salad was also great. The service was fast and polite.

Good brisket sandwich! I got the beef brisket sandwich with a side of mashed potatoes and gravy. The mashed potatoes were real and with a little peel in them. They had outdoor seating and the staff was helpful. Overall good stuff!

It’s good to make friends on a road trip. Someone insisted that I should go to Silverton and eat at Thee Pits Again. I love BBQ. What can I say. So while I was road-tripping in Ouray, I headed to Silverton and looked for a pink structure in town. Yup, just like the dude told me. You can’t miss the place. It was late in the afternoon. They sold out of the brisket. I settled for the ribs. I can’t believe how much food they gave me for a little bite. And the food disappeared quickly. The ribs were falling off the bone. It’s juicy and tender. Their BBQ sauce was a hit. It was so worth the trip.
