Our experience with the Cod Father was nothing short of awesomeness, amazing customer service. We placed our order with ease and the wait was not that long. We had the rockfish meal served with clam chowder, shrimp rice and tartar sauce. The rockfish was fried to perfection, freshly battered, and well seasoned. The clam chowder tasted really good and shrimp rice was different but flavorful. We enjoyed it very much. It was plenty for both of us and reasonably priced. This spot was walking distance from our hotel. We’re so happy to have found it.

This was my first time here and it was a lovely experience! I ordered the cod tacos. The portion was generous and the taste was delicious and fresh! You can tell that the food is made with great care and has detail to quality. The service was excellent and kind. I will be back! Looking forward to trying the clam chowder next. Cod fish and chips are amazing! Fish is fresh with a tasty batter and fried to the perfect golden brown! Fries are magically seasoned and have a crispy crust. The chowder is perfectly creamy without being overly thick or too milky. Great consistency. Lots of flavors that make your taste buds smile! I ate here 2 days in a row- The best Chowder in Portland , maybe even Oregon!

Food portions were generous, the fish was cooked to perfection!! Get the Fathers Meal, your choice of fish, rice shrimp, clam chowder, and a drink. Everything is super flavorful, I got the Rockfish and it did not disappoint. Very friendly!! Must hit up while here!

We had the clam chowder bread bowl and the cod father 3 taco special- both items were 9/10 absolutely amazing. Best fish tacos I’ve had in Portland and the clam chowder felt like being at the coast. 10/10 recommend. Will be coming back

I’m so glad I found this place. They recommended the Cod platter and it was delicious. The batter was light and crispy. The side of chips were these beautiful golden crispy potato wedges that were so addictive and wonderful. Definitely will be one of my go to places at the Midtown Beer Garden.

I just had the most amazing experience. I love seafood but couldn’t decide on what to get and he made me a basket that I couldn’t refuse. OMG!! The food is so flavorful. This will definitely be my spot for food when I come to Portland. I got the shrimp rice, clam chowder, white fish, shrimp and calamari.
