We arrived around 7:00–7:30 PM. There was only one customer who was about to leave. We were seated quickly. One employee a man with long hair and glasses was acting as the host, server, and cashier. It seemed like it was just him and maybe one cook working.
When he handed us the menus, they were sticky, which was an immediate red flag. When we ordered, my daughter had to repeat her order about three times, even though he was entering it into the system. It was awkward and strange.
About 15 minutes later, the food arrived. One positive thing I can say is that the sauce was good. Unfortunately, everything else was disappointing. The shrimp was overcooked, the corn looked old and tasted like it had been cooked long before and reheated, and the eggs were clearly not fresh. One side of the egg was extremely hard honestly disgusting. It felt like they were either pre-boiled eggs cold packaged from Walmart or eggs that had been sitting for weeks.
Throughout our meal, he never checked on us and stayed behind the counter the entire time. When he finally came over, he asked if we needed anything else, even though it was obvious we were done. I told him we just needed the check, and he told us to go up to the counter when we were ready.
The overall vibe was very off and uncomfortable. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
In response to the message I just received from yummy crab stating I should check other crab boil places as they use paper plates and plastic utensils as yummy crab does: I have taken you up on checking other crab boil establishments and they offer real porcelain dishes and real stainless silverware unlike your restaurant. You can check yourself by contacting Cajun boil bar in Oak Brook Terrace IL and King Crab Illinois both close to where I live.
Don’t forget the rice or bread to go with the sauces.
they didnt even have to blow on the food before eating. Half our family was done with there food because the fried food came out way before the boils. $120 was just my family tab and they charged us $17 in gratuity and that is fine we all work in the food service and work for tips but we didnt even have no customer service we had to keep asking for water refills and we also had to ask for the bucket to throw the trash in and the utensils to brake the crab legs. He never came and asked us how everything was or even apologize for the long wait. Obviously this place is all about the money and not the quality of service or food. We will never come back here again .
