The chicken pot pie was hot, fresh and delicious! The staff was so kind and it felt like visiting a friend who was just offering you food. I loved the comfy feel and would recommend to everyone! Prices were more than fair as well.

As a couple Alaskan bikers who travel all over North America, this place had awesome food, great service, and the friendly owners opening up their place filled with history adds to the enjoyment. Highly highly recommended.

Amazing food, amazing people, really special place. They’re the epitome of Yooper hospitality and genuine kindness, and the pasties are absolutely to die for! Best I’ve ever had by far! SO flavorful, delicious pastry, super good gravy too. Can’t wait to go again!

Ordered pasties to celebrate my mom’s 101st birthday, and they did not disappoint!! I’ve had pasties all over the UP and these are the best. The UP shape on the top is a nice touch!! Delicious and filling. Gravy was great and for the ketchup orders, got an ample supply. Fast friendly service in a homey, almost non-commercial setting. This goes on my short list of favorite places to eat when back home (e.g., Frank’s and Clyde’s). The day I was there the hours were limited, I’d suggest calling ahead — you’ll be happy you did!

We enjoy fall travel in the upper peninsula, usually in the fall. We get Pasties every trip. We enjoy staying down the road at Aune Osborn but we’d never stopped for pasties at this location. We got a couple for dinner, one breakfast pastie and a few to freeze and take home. BY FAR THE BEST WE HAVE HAD! Amazing pastry, great filling, gravy so perfect! This is a must stop for us now when in the area. Thank you so much for the quality and deliciousness! I may be calling to see if you ship to the lower peninsula!

Excellent and beautifully presented pasties. Delicious homemade gravy available that is so good you could drink it straight! Super friendly staff. Eat in or take out, fresh pasty hot out of the oven and buy a few extra frozen to take home for a perfect meal later in the week. Highly recommend!

Our first visit so we tried a beef, spicy, & a breakfast pasty. All were very tasty & we enjoyed having the gravy as we feel pasties can be a bit dry for our tastes. You can tell they are made with love as they are almost too pretty to eat! We picked them up to eat later, but their eat in area reminded us of growing up in the 70-80’s! In addition, the owner & staff were super sweet & friendly!

Stopped in for lunch today and got the traditional meat pasty. It was delicious! The crust was flaky, the filling well seasoned, and they didn’t skimp on the filling. It was a full meal! Everyone was super friendly and it had a cool vibe. It is easy to drive past so keep your eyes open. There is street parking and off street parking. They also sell frozen pasty’s and gluten free pasties!

The building was cozy and had a great vibe. The Pasty was very mid lacking all flavor, not even salt. Definitely needs gravy or ketchup

We found this little gem looking for a good frozen pasty to take home coming back from the U.P., I was craving a good home made pasty and this hit the spot! We picked up the regular beef and a chicken pot pie and a dessert one that was strawberry rhubarb. We had the dinner pasties tonight with the gravy for each and these are really good. I thought the cheesy chicken gravy was so good it could be a soup! I didn’t eat in the restaurant as I took them home but it’s a neat little place from what I did see. Hours were a little strange for me with them being closed Friday thru Sunday for the winter. It wasn’t a deal breaker, I would have liked to be able to come in for lunch one of the days I was visiting, the hours made that impossible. Parking was a little crowded and tight, unless there was more I didn’t see around back. Food wise I would absolutely buy again!
