The roast dinner here is great. The generous portion of meat accompanied by a great selection of roast and side vegetables, including red cabbage, cauliflower cheese, sweet potato mash, roast potatoes, carrots, and parsnips. The addition of pigs in blankets and stuffing alongside the beef and Yorkshire pudding was a wonderful touch, making the meal feel complete. Indulgent crispy cracking with the loin of pork also made a very welcome addition.
The pub’s dedication to accommodating its guests is evident in the attentive and friendly service. Nothing was too much trouble, and the staff ensured that every aspect of the meal was perfect.
At £16 for one course and £21 for two, the Yockleton Arms offers great value for money. The quality and quantity of the food, combined with the excellent service, make it a highly recommended spot for a traditional Sunday roast.

Highly recommended. Went for evening dinner last minute. Rang and was accommodated straight away. Turned up, great surroundings with plenty of parking. Plenty of choice at the bar with extensive range of quality gins. I had rump steak and daughter had special which was rack of ribs. My Steak was beautifully cooked, salad done lovely – better than most places I’ve been. Onion rings I’m sure home cooked as they were perfect. Steak sauce was plentiful. I couldn’t find any fault with my food at all 10/10. My daughter’s rack of ribs was done lovely, could have done with more BBQ dressing, coleslaw was amazing and again salad was lovely with good selection of leaves etc and beautiful dressing. Front of house staff were all very young but all were beyond their years in professionalism and seemed happy to be there. A friend had previously been here and recommended it. I certainly wasn’t disappointed. Apologies for rubbish pictures – I need to focus on photos before I dig in

Love the Tempura Squid coated in thin crispy batter.
The Chicken Liver § Brandy Parfait was creamy. Absolutely delicious.
Roasted beef was tender and juicy and perfect with Yorkshire pudding.
Banoffee pie was fantastic too.

Walked in for Sunday lunch and it smelt amazing and looked like a great place but I could see that we were out of luck and they were people turning away. Somehow the lovely lady still managed to squeeze us in after we assured her we gobble our meals down which was extremely kind of her. We are very grateful.

WOW to the new menu! The food, the service and the atmosphere was exquisite (and the all the synonyms and more)! Every member of staff was attentive. Being vegan the choices from starters, mains and puddings was sublime. I wish I took more photos but I couldn’t wait…

The Sunday roast beef dinner and sticky toffee pudding was delicious and plentiful. Great service and very attentive pleasant young staff. A great find if you don’t know the area. Somewhere you would most likely just drive past. We’ll worth a visit if you are looking for good food and reasonably priced drinks. Dog friendly too!
