The server and hostess were nice, I enjoyed the hamburger steak and squash casserole. The corn bread was nice, but to me just average. I liked the buttermilk pie.

Stopped here on our way to Savannah today. Atmosphere was awesome! Service and food was even better! You’ll spend $10-$15 on average per person, and the food is so worth it! Will definitely go here again if driving by. Also, the buttermilk pie was amazing!!

Fantastic buttermilk pie. I also enjoyed their special – tuna on a croissant. Everything was so good and although they were busy the service was fantastic.

Great place with a great location. It looks very unassuming from the outside, but the inside is tastefully done. The welcomingly decorated traditional bar area is located in the back of this establishment with more normal restaurant style seating towards the front. The staff is quite friendly, efficient, and attentive. If any of our drinks dropped below half our waiter immediately filled them back up. The food was fantastic, but the menu pictures posted aren’t accurate. The menu is paired down to half of what we expected. At the end I felt like I ate a home cooked meal, but at a nicer place than a home style buffet restaurant. Pricing was on par with what you expect when you eat out. I will definitely consider this restaurant if I’m ever back in the area.

Meatloaf was on the special board and was pretty good. My wife liked her burger, but the type of bun was a lot of bread. All the staff was super friendly and the cafe has a great small town vibe we really enjoyed. I think everyone there knew all but us, but we definitely did not feel like outsiders.

My family and I were at Lake Oconee/Greensboro area for 5 nights and tried number of local restaurants. My rating is based on the restaurants we tried in the area. Follow me to see my other reviews.

Meh….to the buttermilk pie. Have waited literally months to try this pie only to not be enthused. The crust had a bit of a burnt taste but it was covered with whipped cream. Otherwise it would have not been eaten. The fries weren’t tasty at all. They were too greasy and not hot. Buffalo chicken sandwich tasted pretty good. It wasn’t the best I’ve had. Overall 3 stars. For as long as this place has been in business, the pie, which is the star, should be perfect!

Clean restaurant in Downtown. The service was great. Love the jalapeno poppers! The house salad is a bowl of romaine lettuce, 1/4 of a tomato and a couple onions. The shrimp and fries were good. The filet I ordered was cooked perfect but it had no taste, I think they forgot to season it. I’m not a fan of buttermilk pie but it was pretty good.
