100% recommend. Had the double liberty, liberty fries, and old fashion root beer. Prices are average for food

Everything is À la carte. The drinks are $4 and packed with ice so you have to keep getting up to get a refill from them not on your own. Fries were decent and also $4/order. The smash burger had one patty that you could see through. Can’t tell you how it tasted as they skimp out on the meat and you taste bread. It was the size of a McDonald size cheeseburger.
Kids grilled cheese was basically two pieces of bread and hard cheese that was never melted. Chicken sandwich was alright.
Overall pretty disappointing with what we got, this is such a great location and has so much potential.

Went here last night and had a great time. The smash burgers are delicious and the drinks are absolutely perfect. It’s a great family friendly place for the kids to play and the parents to sit back and relax. We will definitely be coming back

Basic menu but not great with the few offerings. Did not understand the rave about chicken sando it was not that great. I am surprised and impressed that they had as much customers but not with food. Won’t be back personally, but I get the intention. If Brentwood (not knocking Brentwood) is good with this then maybe mediocre food and cool venues might be the right chemistry.

Outstanding service, drinks and food. Update 10/28/24: I have read other reviews and did not have the same experience as others rating a 1 star? Still a good spot in my opinion and fun to hang out and grab a bite to eat with a drink. As far as the prices, your eating out, it’s going to be pricy, but hopefully in the future when things come down, maybe prices will to. It’s all relevant to the environment we’re in today.

We have been to The Yard twice since they opened & both the times we had a lovely experience…

First visit we went with friends & their 2 yr old … he had a blast playing with all the kids & toys … we loved the vibe … “Yard brings the community together” this is exactly what Brentwood is all about… visit farmers market, downtown or some of the restaurants you will get that same spirit…

Second visit we shared our table with others , who were happy to share their space… it’s a community seating so don’t feel shy to ask…

Here are the items we tried during our two visits-

We tried their beers, cocktails, Smashed burgers, Chicken Sando & filthy fries.

Everything was delicious, cocktails were amazing , staff were very friendly…

Kudos to Attra for their new venture we are so lucky to have them invest in our community!!!

Paying customers don’t have a place to sit. It was $41 for a burger, fries and one cocktail. Thats absurd. I had been hopeful that this place would be a hit but they have to get so many things under control for customers to return. The place was flooded with toddlers and many others just loitering without any purchased products. This diminished the overall experience. It felt like an open city park rather than a restaurant. The burger was good and the drink was tasty. However, it took a very long time to get them. The waiting area for food was also crowded and unorganized. A key to a storage closet was left in the door. Bathroom was not clean. Huge potential here but massively disappointing so far.

Definitely not really a place to come if you want a quick bite or if you’re here with a big group. It’s a very communal place, so lots of sharing tables and talking with the other people around you at times. Drinks are their main bread and butter, so those fly out the door, but food takes fairly long. The food is great once it does finally come. Staff were generally nice, but otherwise I didn’t interact with them much, since it’s very much self service as well.

We were excited to try a new place in our area. We’d heard this place gets busy, so we were hoping to avoid crowds and lines. We visited on Sunday around 2pm. There were LOTS of families, and there were almost as many toddlers as there were adults. About 80% were well behaved, but that 20% were fairly off-putting. Not really an issue with the establishment, more so the crowd at the time.

There were a limited number of tables, some of which were taken up by people watching their kids or by others people watching. Since it’s first come first served, you may have to eat on a bench instead of a table. I think some signage that gives diners priority to tables – or maybe just add more tables to the area – would be helpful.

I do think they missed an opportunity with the island in the middle of the lot where the gas pumps used to be during it’s days as a gas station. If they’d made that a little larger with an extended counter top, that could’ve doubled as more seating with stools. It would provide great shade, too.

The wait wasn’t long, but it wasn’t short, so I grabbed a cocktail. I saw they had Hendrick’s, so asked for a Hendrick’s and tonic. Those are usually made with cucumber slices, but this one was garnished with a lime like a Tanqueray and tonic. Sounds knit-picky, but it let me know what level of drinks to expect going forward – not top tier.

The food was good. They have crinkle cut fries, and they made them perfectly. I think they were double fried because they were prefectly crispy outside and pillowy soft inside. They get an extra star for that! My teenager got the chicken sandwich. He thought it was a bit salty, but I thought it was spot on – possibly better than Chick-Fil-A. I got a double burger without any modifications and they make it pretty well. They’re coming close to George Motz’s style. I think the burgers were pressed a little too thin, though. There was almost too much maillard and crust. Not bad, but could be better.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. One of our burgers was incorrect, but they made it right quickly. Props for that.

The overall feel was like going to a family picnic or a local park, but no one there was in your family. It seemed like some people wanted to eat while some people wanted to hang out, and that didn’t exactly blend well. I think we’ll give them some time to sort through their processes and figure out what works best for them. For now, it’s a decent start, but for $80 for 4 people without the cocktail, I was hoping for more.

Pros:

✅ Amazing smash burger and filthy fries combo
✅ Chicken burger is a must-try
✅ Friendly and attentive staff
✅ Warmers at outdoor tables make for a cozy experience
✅ Great for groups and families

Cons:

❌ Can be busy during peak hours (but wait time was reasonable)
❌ Lots of families and kids (not an issue unless you prefer a quieter setting)

Tldr: Can’t wait to go back!

The Yard is a fantastic spot for a casual and delicious meal! I had the smash burger, and it was excellent—juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Paired with the filthy fries, it was an unbeatable combo. My friend had the chicken burger, and it was amaze-balls—definitely getting that next time!

We went on a Friday night around 7 PM with a group of six. It was busy, but we only waited about 10 minutes for a table. The staff was super friendly, and even though there were tons of families and kids, the atmosphere was lively and fun. The outdoor seating was a great option, especially with the warmers set up at each table. Already looking forward to coming back!
